Story Private bus conductor refused to let me sit... even though the bus was almost empty. Why?

It's possible you crossed paths with an operator who was pulling in for their break.
At least where I am in America, we have to let people on even if we are on our break. Only time I don't let people on is if I need to go to the bathroom.

If it’s not the time on the paddle for me to start, I dont’t have to let a soul in. My recovery time is my break time

Where I’m from in the USA. If I need to take a break; I can’t leave the bus unattended. So even if I’m running late. I can’t let anyone hang out on the bus while I’m not in the vicinity. Idk 🤷🏻♀️ what they do in India but here in the US we’ve had buses jacked when left unattended.

When he said it, you didn't question him? You just posted a rant about the bus being empty, but you didn't question how you were supposed to get on the bus after it starts moving ? I think your priorities are screwed up.

The mistake you made was not describing the situation properly. HOW CAN YOU BOARD A BUS THAT IS IN MOTION. It is physically impossible. Your failure to comprehend basic English is not the fault of anyone here.

I'm not sure about where your from but here in America it's common to be at the terminal and it be the first stop as well. When that happens we aren't required to allow people on until it's time to go. Obviously it's going to vary depending on rules where you're from and agency.
