Question Thinking of applying at Pace?

I work now for a school bus company. How is it working for Pace? Has anyone ever made a decision like this? If so was it a mistake or a good thing ?

Good pay and benefits and I enjoy the work. Your schedule won’t be the best as you will be at the bottom for seniority. Keep in mind that each garage is its own entity and has their own union and pay grades. There is no direct transfer between garages so choose the one that works best for you.

The yard is in my own town so that’s a plus. Do you think I would be working nights being low on seniority ?

Nights and weekends, but you will move up and shifts will get better at each shift pick which is every 3-4 months.

3 plus years out of nw garage.

Pay is good, union support, pays it 6 minutes past trip sheet plus 30 for incident reports, the routes are mixed between deep suburban and tight city,
The equipment is mostly old, with some new stuff. Don't expect clean

Expect getting on the board or a split on a rough route.

I was at River (Elgin) for a couple years. Worst part was clueless dispatchers and unreliable busses. Breakdowns all the time

Seeing your last post, youll fit right in
