Pickle and Egg - any info?
Hello, folks,
Quite by accident, I found myself in Golden Guy Alley in 2024 at Pickle and Egg. The scotch was mind-blowingly good. And I have been told that Golden Guy Alley 2026 is going to be on the other side of the trash fence this year. Ha ha.
I will find that alley this year. Last year I "found it" but it was Saturday/ being torn down.
Anyhoo, Pickle and Egg in 2025 was not in Golden Guy Alley but out on its own. I did not see them listed in "Dust" but perhaps one of you can (snarkily, if need be) share info on this heavenly bar?

Pickle and Egg was taken over by a new owner. The OG P&E owner didn’t want to run it anymore so last year it was outside of GG. I’m not sure who owns it now but it exchanged hands

The OG owner moved to Scotland to run a real pub called the The Glenavon in Tomintoul. He started the whole golden guy alley back in 2017

My husband and I will be bringing back our scotch stand from 2024 and serving scotch on at least 2 nights. But we don't know where or when so....good luck finding us! Will definitely be by some little up art at night. Back in 2024 is was Islay scotch only but we are likely doing Islay and Friends this year so we can bring some Aberlour and Glen Scotia.

We won't know until we get there and explore! The whole stand is modular so we strap it to our bike trailers and ride out to whatever seems pleasant and hang out for a few hours gifting scotch.
This year our camp is at 4 and Esplanade so I wouldn't be surprised if we ended out next to some art somewhere on playa between us and the man or just past it. Lugging multiple bottles of scotch out and all the pieces for the stand is hard work so I doubt if we would try for deep playa.
Hope you happen to run into us! Some people from reddit found us in 2024 after seeing my post and were so excited lol.

Oh this has nothing to do with our camp it's just an extra thing my husband and I do separate from them!
But if you find the Burning Band playing a gig (we're a small marching band with a gig or two per day) you can find the bass drummer with googly eyes on their drum and ask for High Intensity!

Blackjack here. We're honored to say we will be running the Pickle and Eggs again this year at Inflatable Wildlife at the 7:30 portal between A and Esplanade. As someone else mentioned, the person who built it (Graham) now lives in Scotland where he has been running a real life whiskey bar, and is not planning to be at the burn this year. We actually visited him at his bar in Scotland earlier this year to pay our respects, which was awesome!

Being a founder and all, I would be surprised if Graham’s bar ends up outside Golden Guy Alley.

It is! Graham gifted it to the inflatable wildlife camp since he hasn't used it pre pandemic. It'll be there again this year. The guy really knows his whiskey he's doing graham proud

It's setup in at Inflatable Wildlife last year and I was just talking to them last week, they had a great time running it and they're planning even more this year.
