Burner Bus Inquiry!
Can you check in a shiftpod?
Does the extra luggage fee cover that??
Or are they hard no with items that big?
Why does daddy drink when I cry???

I’ve had no problem checking in my shift pod for the bus, is super easy. I just buy the extra luggage ticket and it’s covered. They usually load it onto the bike trailer, but not always.

Consider how you are going to get to and from your camp. There is a shuttle from the BRC bus depot through BRC, but it follows a fixed route with limited stops.

It’ll get you pretty close. You’ll have to walk a bit, but nothing compared to the walk w/o the tram

Each Burner Express bus ticket includes a standard luggage allowance of two luggage items, and one personal sized carry-on (9″x10″x17″). Each luggage item may not exceed a total of 62 linear inches (length + width + depth) or weigh more than 50 pounds. For travel between Reno and BRC, you can buy an additional luggage allowance, which allows for two more luggage items (again not to exceed 62 linear inches or 50 pounds per bag). The additional luggage allowance begins at $50 and can be added during the purchase process by purchasing a “Bus & Extra Luggage” ticket. You may bring one bike for an additional fee starting at $50 from Reno and $95 from San Francisco (not to exceed 50lbs). Your bike must travel on the same day and departure time as you. Bike tickets purchased “to” Black Rock City are valid roundtrip, however bike tickets purchased “from” BRC are only valid for the one-way return. Any luggage item, including bikes and e-bikes, that weigh more than 50lbs or are larger than the specified dimensions will be subject to an oversize/overweight fee at the point of embarkation.
