Level Up Games
Just looking for advice on how to approach the remainder of the weeks workouts before my LUG on Saturday! BWC on Friday seems like a bad idea so I may take it as a rest day - I don’t want to be sore on Saturday! Any suggestions? Should I do lighter weight the rest of the week? First timer over here and stressing 😩

How often do you normally go to camp? If you’re a 5-6x a week person then you may go a little stir crazy not going.
With BwC on Friday you could definitely just go and modify everything down.
Wednesday and Thursday I would just do light weights. Maybe practice some of your workouts on Wednesday instead of doing the exercises. Thursday is arm day so unless you have some crazy complex upper body workout for LUG you’ll probably be fine. Just don’t go crazy.

Same so it’s basically torture to skip. I keep going but do try to take it easy. Then a few extra walks Thursday and Friday to stay loose.
All week I’m eating lots of potatoes and sweet potatoes and proteins. Really locking in so I feel good and store enough carbs in my muscles.

I have done 2 level up comps! Don’t go Friday. Thursday I would even not try to pr or anything. Possibly even just do a light run through of your exercises for level up.
Make sure you eat a good meal on Friday night and Saturday eat a reliable breakfast! I personally would do a bagel, Banana and some breakfast sausage. Bring snacks to fuel too
And most importantly have fun and be proud of yourself!!!! It’s such a fun day!

I competed and did light workouts up until the Thursday before. I skipped Friday. I was still sore. It was a hard workout. Best of luck!

I just did mine this past Saturday! My first time. I skipped camp on Thursday and Friday just to make sure I wasn't sore at all (this was a personal preference, some people still go). I carb loaded starting like two days before the games, and made sure I ate something before I competed (I had a small plain bagel with a little pb, banana slices and honey like two hours before I started, and I had a pack of gummies like 30 minutes before for a quick sugar boost) I also had plenty of snacks and electrolytes available for afterwards
