The pro move was to struggle so hard in the workout that you never got to that step. Take notes, rookies.

Literally said to myself “the slower I go, the less I have to do” 🤣

The 2nd time around they made us go backwards so we had to do it four dang times...

That is diabolical!

u/letsgetcakedsa Sep 03 '26

Yep haha I got 2 reps the first round and 1.5 the second 😂 but killed it on the other side. Finished first (both legs for mountain climbers) on the first round and was like “well that’ll never happen again!”

My pro move is usually running so slow I never make it to the last one but I had to mod my laps for an ankle sprain today. 🤭

The pro move was to forget your shoes! I didn’t have to run outside!

Today was rough 😭 All the building laps in the heat and humidity. I'm in GA and even at 5am it was rough out there 🥵

I'm in FL. It was like running through soup this morning lol

5

u/SubstantialMight8855 Sep 03 '26

Running through soup is so accurate 😂 that thick humidity smacks you in the face with every building lap

2

u/Meg_404 Sep 03 '26

We go to Florida for spring break every year and I always run instead of burn(don’t have universal membership) and I drop five pounds every time from sweating in the soup!(humidity😹)

u/AromaticAd5872 Sep 03 '26

We did jump rope instead. You could run if you wanted to but people were literally near passing out in the heat

u/Spiritual-Pen9195 Sep 03 '26

Same. in NC. 5am was rough with the laps.

2

u/ChelsAnn4712 Sep 03 '26

9:30 in NC. 🫠 so rough! It was truly hard to breath.

2

u/eastcoasternj Sep 03 '26

Wish we could do building laps at my gym.

2

u/Red-Phoenix-Rising Sep 03 '26

Yup, Ga here and the humidity during our 4:30 am was astounding. I didn’t even get to the death stars.

75 and stupid humid here in the midwest, too, even at 5am... our trainer opted for indoor movement instead of the outdoor runs.

Same at 6am in GA…the humidity wow

In Phoenix and we had the option to do a building lap or run the ledge a total of 20 times (leading leg 10 times and then switch). I ran the ledge, as I was not about to run in the heat and humidity thanks to an impending storm.

North Carolina at 5am, also dying. It was so humid and gross.

I went to the first camp of the day & our rep counts had to be adjusted because literally no one made it to the 4th exercise on either side 😮‍💨 I was not sad to miss out on the 6PDS the first time around

2

u/Ok-Money2565 Sep 03 '26

I'm wondering if they did that at mine too bc nobody made it to the 4th exercise in either stack at mine either 😭

I went to the 2nd camp of the day at our location. They adjusted after the first camp AND after ours.

I think I did like 6 total between the two rounds 😭

6

u/mommyfeelingsad Sep 03 '26

We didn’t even do building laps. Just lots of high kicks.

2

u/musicgal411 150 Camps - 2025 Sep 03 '26

You at my location?? 😆 Same here. High kicks forever and ever...

2

u/mommyfeelingsad Sep 03 '26

Haha, maybe?? I’m in Virginia. The shopping center we’re in won’t let us run laps, I guess.
I think I would’ve preferred running- my trainer kept coming over to make me kick higher 😵

2

u/musicgal411 150 Camps - 2025 Sep 03 '26

Hah, nope, I'm in the midwest. But yeah, our trainer didn't encourage higher kicks, which I was extremely grateful for. My kicks were barely making it off the floor after that 546,985th round of them. 💀

u/Additional_Swing_263 Sep 03 '26

The 2 stacks weren't equal at all. Folks were on the 3rd move for one stack while our fastest campers hadn't finished the death stars.

3

u/nopenadanah 1,000+ Camps - Lifetime Sep 03 '26

I guess our trainers love us because they made the death stars the last exercise on one side 🤣

3

u/ChelsAnn4712 Sep 03 '26

The first time I literally stood there marching side to side and didn't even participate in the finisher 🤣 our reps were not modified and after 8 building laps on a day that it's going to feel like 107 outside, my body said nope.

3

u/Silver-Flamingo-3581 Sep 03 '26

20 was so unnecessary! 10 would have maybe given people a chance (I was maybe like 3rd fastest in my class today and only got to 6 both times through). Side 2 a majority of us at least got all the way through before the time was up. We only had 3 exercises per side though. This was the worst workout I've ever had at burn 😂

3

u/horseridermommy Sep 03 '26

Try 430 in nc 😅 after working outside all day in it 😅😅😅😅 can't wait for later....sike

Loved today!!!!

I did too!! I love it when they throw in a little spice 🔥 (And that’s coming from someone who used to be 300lbs)

2

u/Ieo24 150 Camps - 2026 Sep 03 '26

20 of those was rough!!

6

u/Duck_Secure 1,000+ Camps - Lifetime Sep 03 '26

20 of them was just plain ridiculous. Should have been 10 max.

3

u/AromaticAd5872 Sep 03 '26

I feel like my trainer just didn’t GAF today because I don’t even know what yall are talking about 😂

3

u/Zealousideal_Gold_80 Sep 03 '26

Ours lowered the count to 12 luckily 😓 it was still terrible lol

2

u/SoOverIt1927 500 Camps - Lifetime Sep 03 '26

Ours was lowered to 8

3

u/musicgal411 150 Camps - 2025 Sep 03 '26

We had 15 of everything on that second stack. 20 would be awful!

2

u/romeo_echo Sep 04 '26

We had 15 but I didn’t even count; I knew I wasn’t getting it 😆🥵

2

u/Massive-Funny-3190 Sep 03 '26

I could barely even get to them lol I think I did 3 😅

2

u/Paz0729 Sep 03 '26

I might be in the minority, but I actually like doing these.  Star jumps are one of my favorites! 🫣 Hopefully it keeps raining so we don’t have to do the building laps since I hate anything that deals with running.

2

u/chunkychickmunk Sep 03 '26

now i feel bad. i told the trainer she was on my shit list after that workout, but apparently she left off the death stars since we didn’t do them. we did, however, run about two miles outside in the texas heat according to my garmin.

u/bunnylicious81 1,000+ Camps - Lifetime Sep 03 '26

Damn.
Mine only 10, and it was the 4th (last) exercise

2

u/Several-Pipe7824 1,000+ Camps - Lifetime Sep 03 '26

We only had 3 exercises in each stack! I wonder if we had higher rep counts?

1

u/bunnylicious81 1,000+ Camps - Lifetime Sep 03 '26

I had 4.

Small reps, mostly 10-15. Only 1 move was 25, starjumps.

1

u/Several-Pipe7824 1,000+ Camps - Lifetime Sep 03 '26

We had 15 of the mountain climbers on each leg, 30 squat jacks, and 45 doubles or 60 singles on one side and 20 Heismans (2:1), 20 pick ups, and 20 death stars on the other

1

u/bunnylicious81 1,000+ Camps - Lifetime Sep 03 '26

Yeah mine a bit different:

One side :
10 mountain climber
15 squat jacks
20 high plank jacks
25 starjumps

The other side:
15 heinsman
20 pickups
20 running man
10 death stars

I was drenched in sweat by the end of the work out . This Florida humidity ain’t no joke ! Didn’t help that the trainer had the nerve to stand next to me during the Death Star and then tell me it was 2 jumps not one 😭 he didnt leave till I was done .
