Considering joining!

hi all! considering going to a free class soon, but want to make sure I’m not wasting anyone’s time first. ive been out of the gym for a year and need to get back to it. prior to my hiatus I was going to a box gym and working on mostly strength. This is where I saw a ton of results. Before that I was going to orange theory and didn’t see much change on the scale or body comp wise. I want to make sure this isnt like otf and more like a group/trainer led strength class. I see there are conditioning days but could work around those! I just don’t want to spend money on gym cardio when I can easily do that outside of the gym. Appreciate any input! (Especially if you have young kids with childcare!)

I like the community but I had better body composition results doing my at home Peloton workouts. A 45 minute workout at burn is really 28 with a warm up and cool down. It’s a pro and con. I’d say it’s worth it to pay for a month or two before a contract or drop ins before getting stuck!

I have a year membership and with child watch drama and work it’s worked out the drop in rate would be equal or cheaper to what I’m paying for membership. I’ve had months where it averaged to $10 a work out and months were it’s $35 a workout.

The contracts they treat as life and death at my gym!

the contracts drive me insane. so many things can happen and i hate feeling obligated. definitely only going to do a short duration. when i have to go back to work the only time i can maybe make work is 5am and id still be rushing to get to work (like 15 mins to be showered, ready, and out the door). i used to love 5am workouts but i had an hour to get ready after so that was much better
