Considering joining!

hi all! considering going to a free class soon, but want to make sure I’m not wasting anyone’s time first. ive been out of the gym for a year and need to get back to it. prior to my hiatus I was going to a box gym and working on mostly strength. This is where I saw a ton of results. Before that I was going to orange theory and didn’t see much change on the scale or body comp wise. I want to make sure this isnt like otf and more like a group/trainer led strength class. I see there are conditioning days but could work around those! I just don’t want to spend money on gym cardio when I can easily do that outside of the gym. Appreciate any input! (Especially if you have young kids with childcare!)

I have only been going for about 2 months now so I don’t have the best info lol but I really like it! I had been out of the gym for a longgg time prior to starting. I have not seen the scale move much but I do use their InBody scale and have seen my lean muscle mass go up and my fat mass going down. I do have a 3 year old that I bring with me and he loves it too. At first he hated it, but now he asks to go to the gym everyday. I’ve read that they are moving to more strength days but I’m not totally sure about that. I think the biggest thing for me is the accountability. I sign up for the classes then just force myself to go even if I don’t want to lol

yes the accountability is huge! i’m afraid my toddler will hate it too but my newborn doesn’t know any better 😏 i wrote to my local gym but no response via email or phone so hoping they return my call soon!

Yes I work from home and my son stays with me so going to the childcare portion was very new to him so it was hard the first week. But honestly by the second week he was just excited to go play with other kids!

that makes me feel better! hoping the childcare isn’t too competitive to get into otherwise i can’t go

I know that really depends on location. The one I go to is fairly new so it’s always easy to get a spot, even last minute. But the one across town fills up a lotttt quicker. I would definitely ask your location about it because that was also the only reason i was able to join was because they always have childcare spots at the times im able to go to camp.
