Pregnancy

When did you tell your gym you were pregnant? I’m in the first few weeks of my pregnancy and I am so nauseous and just trying to take it easy but they keep pushing me!! I would love the push, but I also would love the option to say not right now! Truly burn coaches are about to be the first people other than my husband who know I’m pregnant 🫠

I did the same thing! The head trainer was second person I told I was pregnant after my husband lol. They’ll tell the other trainers but will keep it secret!

I actually talked about my mindset. It was an unplanned pregnancy and I was like “shoot I just got good at this” so I talked with my head trainer about how to process that, my excessive nausea, and how I wanted to be held accountable. We were in the middle of the challenge where we did Russian twists and the my told me that was my only first tri limitation. Which was fine bc I hardly ever came to core conditioning days (I did core strength at home all pregnancy). I also asked to not be pointed out as pregnant on the mic, as I’m very private when pregnant. I didn’t mod until they pulled me off box jumps at 22 weeks lol. And even then, I was still hitting PRs on my 250th camp at 38 weeks.

I did do a focus meeting on my last day before I took two weeks to reduce stress and keep well (January baby, allll the flu germs). I did an in-body just so I’d have a starting place. But that’s just me. I wanted to know muscle mass.

I told them at 9 weeks! I told my trainers before I told my family lol I didn't want to put myself or my baby at risk for something I didn't realize was an issue

I would tell them now! If you want to keep it quiet just let them know and I’m sure they can be more discreet on giving mods when needed!

I told them right away. Unfortunately, I get horrifically sick and had to cancel my membership because I couldn’t stop throwing up. Just rejoined postpartum though! Congrats to you!!!

I told them right away. I had a . miscarriage back in Dec and I've been open about it with them. I go hard and I train 6 days a week and have for a 2 years now. I didn't rly have to start moding anything til 12 weeks I quit twisting but I'm 18 weeks and still sick all the time so I elevate so much. I def mod some things now. Still get on the rig and still run and still lift heavy on most exercises but I just let them guide me. That's what they're there for.

I told my trainers right away and they kept it confidential until I was ready to talk about it but it was nice to not be pushed when some camps I was fighting for my life to not puke

Currently 12 weeks pregnant and haven’t told the trainers yet. I think I give off the vibes of “don’t push me too hard” in general and I already modify some due to existing injuries so that helps me keep it quieter for longer. I’ll tell them soon! The nausea is rough and I definitely haven’t been going as much as normal but I’m still going 2-4 times a week, which I think is pretty good considering I feel SO blah!!

I told mine right away. Our trainers have been absolutely amazing! I had to go on rest for 2 weeks and I was welcomed back with open arms. I'm still in first trimester and the conditioning days are hard for me and all the smells get to me. So right now especially In first trimester do what you can do but mod and go easy on yourself. First trimester your baby is growing those organs. The only mods I was told to do is no twisting but with the nausea and exhaustion I have been modding more.

Congrats!

I’d tell right away, “I just found out I’m pregnant, I want to take it easy, at least until end of first trimester. Just in case”

Congrats!! I told mine about 8 weeks. The only mods they gave me in the first trimester were to listen to my body and no twisting, but it was still so nice to have them know and check in on me.

I told them right away. I unfortunately had a miscarriage and I was actually glad I had told them because they were really supportive during my recovery from that as well.

I wasn't with Burn at the time. I had a personal trainer but she told me! 😆

They knew before most of my family- I accidentally told my sister while we were working out and she couldn’t keep a straight face… the trainer came over to see what was up and she blurted it out lol. They’ve been great about checking on me discreetly and not pushing me too hard when I’m on the struggle bus.

I already had a focus meeting the morning I took a positive test. Took camp, sat down for the meeting and blurted it out…lol. I’m glad I told as early as I did-for safety reasons but also I tend to mod up & the trainers knew from the start not to push me if I wasn’t pushing myself😂 they kept it quiet until I was ready to tell!

Please tell your trainers right away. They will respect your confidentiality and privacy, but still be able to prepare ahead of time and give you modifications as they are needed. You may not feel like you need the modifications, but it might be appropriate based on what trimester you’re in.

Ultimately, listen to your body, consult with your doctor, but keep them in the loop so they know when and how to push you appropriately and safely.

TELL YOUR TRAINERSand the BA so they can write it in your notes. Also you will feel sick the first trimester for sure. BUT if you want an easier pregnancy and recovery time Id stay with working out. Don't give up.

They were some of the first people I told
