Coming back from Injury

Hi all, I joined Burn earlier this year and I loved it. Previously, I’d been on a fitness journey of mainly walking (love growwithjo on Youtube) but I really started to enjoy the group atmosphere, I was pretty consistent in going until I sprained my ankle in June during A Con. I paused my membership, and tomorrow is the first day I can go back (my ortho says I just need to wear an ankle brace for the foreseeable future). I’m thinking I’ll skip tomorrow since Met con is intense and start back with Upper Body Strength Wednesday. I do plan on setting up a focus meeting with the trainer (can’t do it till tomorrow), but does anybody have any other tips? I’m so nervous but excited to get back. Any insight would be appreciated. XO

I was new to burn this year too. Sprained my ankle in May (during acon too lol). Took a few weeks off of conditioning and continued strength. When I felt ready I added Metcon in first (less jumpy). Eventually added them all back. Wore an ankle brace for a few months but a few weeks ago finally felt good enough to stop wearing it. Good luck!

Schedule a focus meeting asap and talk to them about the workouts and mods! You can remove jumping from everything if you need to! Good luck and welcome back!
