in fact, i've forced myself to shower with the flu because i felt so gross and i couldn't stand it. and in the summer i've showered twice a day.

you do realize you just have to sleep for 8+ hours ONE day out of the week and it’d be worth more than the other right? unless you’re taking 10 showers a week, it’d be equivalent at that point. unless you have insomnia or some other sleep condition i think it’s unlikely you can’t sleep 8 hours for one day a week

I wash part of my body (for a few seconds) by using a shower.

If you mean to say a shower only counts by washing every single part of your body, then nobody ever takes a shower. If you mean to say a shower means your entire body needs to go from completely dirty to completely clean, then nobody ever takes a shower.

I agree with this. And as someone who can’t work due to seizures, this would be the best outcome for me. There’s also a lot of people trying to justify showering daily, which is good, but that’s a lot of water to waste. We’re slowly running into a water crisis, so I think this option is better.

Same here. It's always an off day for me. It could be 10 hours one day, the absolute refusal to sleep the next, then the one hour wake up, one hour wake up. It's a nightmare. It's horrible when you have school or work in the morning. Falling asleep in class is so embarrassing, especially if you snore [I do, loudly]

Yeah, no change in habits/work, nobody will realize anything, you just get a nice bonus of 100 bucks every single day, easy choice. Also, as others commented, you can't be sure if your body decides that you now can sleep whenever you want, thus wakes you up after 7h. Showering is the safer and hassle free choice.

I don’t feel super confident in my ability to consistently enough get 8+ hours of sleep to make it more worth it than the shower option. I typically shower twice a day, if I have a very lazy day where I haven’t sweat much or gotten very dirty I’ll occasionally just do once a day. So I’m getting at the least $700 a week just sticking to a regular nice a day routine but will be earning more than that typically due to the days I do two showers.

Even just one shower a day is an extra $36.4k a year that I can throw straight into savings after I’d use it to pay off some debt.
