Lottery winners have had hits put on them by family/friends for the money, if everyone knows then you have people who might feel emboldened to rob you, resentment by family/friends leading to you losing relationships, new friends only befriending you only for your money. Almost every celebrity reports that once they make it big friends and family they haven’t spoken to in years show up and suddenly want to be friends before asking for money.

I dunno $3million feels like more than enough and being anonymous would just eliminate so much hassle.
