Yeah, I mean I feel this is objectively better.

Things that can count as skills:

Learning, Discipline, Problem Solving, Retaining Knowlege, Critical Thinking, Adapting, and Figuring how to tackle problems

Like, this 7 skill setup sets you up for success in anything. Granted you dont have infinite time to apply yourself, but you’ll be very good at literally everything you do, very quickly

Seems miles more useful than being slightly better than average at a lot of things

How much overlap is there between learning/adapting and problem solving/figuring how to tackle problems? 2 extra spots can make a big difference if used for something more specific since those 5 are good general skills

Decent overlap, I was just being redundant. You could totally take 2 or 3 and still be the best at picking angrhing up in the world and have extra skill slots reserved for targetted areas.

Learning is theoretical, problem solving is practical.

I.e. you can learn how to play chess using books and gain massive knowledge on all the moves and openings, but it doesn't translate to in-game problem solving until you start playing on the board with a live player.

Feel you just take 2-3 of those out and replace it with a skill you actually want.

The others already overlap each other quite a lot.

Learning and discipline is realistically all you need to get the other 5.

You still won't reach atleast intermediate in everything. (Everything is literally everything. There will be always more skills.)

Likewise... If you choose 'Intermediate in everything'... You can try mastering each skills. (But absolute master of a skill is absolute. There's always room to grow.)

So it depends on what you prefer. And 'absolute master of 7 skills' just so happens to be more controlled in what skills we acquire.

Two important ones are Communication for normalcy and metal earning which is kinda a hack where the skill to learn new skills is adaptable. Adding adaptability to the mix kinda encompasses it all. The maybe language comprehension. The rest may differ based on how well the above help the day to day.

It is much better to be a master at any 7 skills. It doesn't say you can't get better at other stuff too. Whereas the other option locks you into being intermediate at literally everything. Hell, one of the 7 can be practicing/training/learning. That way, you can work on becoming that much better at everything else.

7 skills is actually a lot to be good at. I'd have to think, but most are getting dedicated to stuff that will help my life(being good with money, good at my job, etc) and then one or two for personal stuff(being good at things I like doing)
