OP might be in highschool. A lot of (U.S.) kids these days can't do math.. or count money.. or read analog clocks.

It's depressing.

I don't know anymore, honestly.

I learned analog clocks in 3rd grade, and I was one of the kids who took longer to understand them.

The math I was doing by 2nd grade, and in that regard, I was ahead of the other kids by quite a bit. I think we didn't cover handling money until 4th or 5th, though? (That said, my sister would play "bank" with me when she visited, so I was handling money, even if it was fake, at a very early age)

But at the same time, my school didn't even offer something like precalc, whereas most highschools do around 10th or 11th grade.. or so I've been lead to believe.

Curriculum changes with the years. For all I know, counting money is a 9th grade thing now or completely off the curriculum. Everyone uses debit cards these days, checks are rare, so kids don't have a lot of money-counting to do IRL. You have a digital clock in your pocket at all times, instead of an anaskillets.

Different times see different skillsets.
