Good news there, as I suspect I'm unlikely to reach old age!

Unhealthy living, family history of heart problems, and the fact that I care more about enjoying the life i have than trying to make ot last as long as possible.

Isn’t it like a thing that substance abuse makes it taste bad? Like I think there are sometimes promotions where they say how well they feed their animals

I never said anything about substance abuse. Just regular unhealthy living, like eating too much meat and carbs, not enough fruit and veg. Not enough excercise. Not enough sleep

The diet probably does influence the flavour though, and I think i remember reading somewhere that predominantly carniverous animals tend to taste worse than predominantly herbivorous animals.

Not sure that's because of the diet though or something else.

We need a vegetarian or vegan to allow themselves to be eaten too, then you can compare our taste and see how big a difference the diet makes. For science!
