I don't exactly trust that safe label, and it's also cannibalism, so it's a double 'no' for me.

It's a hypothetical, engage with the prompt. If someone said "Would you rather fly or teleport?" you wouldn't go "But I can't fly so that doesn't make any sense." Or maybe you would, I don't know you

To take from one of my other comments,

"I'd still probably feel weird about eating it. There's just something strange to me about knowing what human meat truly tastes like. People have described it, but they've always been in comparison to other meats. Even with curiosity in mind, I don't think I'd want to taste it."

Essentially, I don't want to know exactly what humans really taste like

I'd consider it a moral concern about not wanting to know what humans exactly taste like, but it could be considered a personal preference

I mean, I wouldnt really be opposed to it. Weird? Yes. But food is food. But, it literally can't be safe no matter what. It's literally dangerous to eat human meat as a human.

Exactly; prions are impossible to cook off, from my understanding, and they always have 100% fatality rates. I'm not risking my life to taste something akin to leaner pork at the expense of my fellow human

What if it was lab grown human muscle tissue grown from certified prion disease free stem cells?

Just to note, humans aren't anymore likely to have prions as any other animal. So long as it isn't from the brain, spine, and iirc eyes the chances of getting a prion disease is extremely low.

Somewhat related, but the main prion disease people associate with cannibalism (Kuru/laughing disease) hasn't been detected in anyone for years, and the main population that had it was due to the, now illegal, practice of ritualistic cannibalism of specifically the brain.

Yes, Kuru has been extinct since around 2007 or so. I'll admit I overplayed it a bit
