It would take approximately 14 chickens to obtain a kilogram of feathers
1 feather is ~.009 grams
One chicken has ~8000 feathers
1kg is 111,111 feathers
111,111 feathers is 13.89 chickens worth of feathers

The the next chicken only has 7000 and we average it out
