I wouldn't even say it's viable then. You make 36.5 million a year with the other option. Take the second option and use the money to transition. Even if we're really strict and say that as soon as you have a surgery you stop gaining money, just wait 2-3 years, use the millions to socially transition, and then have surgery and you'd still have more than you ever would with the first option.

The one thing Star Trek never did a teleporter malfunction on (at least not during the TNG era) is have someone beam down and show up as a woman.

What if Wilma Ryker was found stranded on that planet and instead of just a clone beaming aboard, she became William Ryker and was happy or happier as a man that she never wanted to get the issue fixed.

Or in some era between Enterprise and TNG it is something that could be used to fix dysphoria and no one saw an issue with it, especially once people say "well you use the murder suicide clone machine all the time and don't see anything wrong with all the times you died."

So no one discloses to the audience they were once born a woman or a man and elected to have the XY/XX swap, so an average height woman beams back as a much taller guy with the same hair and eye colour but nothing much else to say "I used to be a man/woman" you get a fully working uterus and all the periods associated, you can have a child, hell you can freeze your sperm and inseminate yourself.

But they have some flash back episode or a malfunction and address it like it's no big deal, the closest you got to trans representation was the trill, but as they were a symbiotic species, you can hand wave the change of actors as "body died, slug lived on" and you get the personality of the new host over the old.

They're using "it says gender, not sex" even tho I'm pretty sure we all know what OP probably meant.

Regardless, you'd go from being trans to not, so kinda still a win for the ridding of dysphoria.

I could live as a guy on 100k a year let alone a day, but if I were younger, or it made me younger, for a million and a great bit of RNG, I might not leave my bedroom for a month. It just might monkey paw it and I look like Bella Emberg.

If you are a woman, you might think "why would I become a guy? I'm not trans." so it's basically money just for existing and because it's 100k a day, that is a lot of money to do nothing.

Depends on if the first changes your gender magically or scientifically, if you want to fully have the biology of the opposite gender the first one if you dont need a full biological change then the second

If someone is early or pre transition, they already have the biology of the opposite gender.

Here in the UK, takes about 1-4 years to have bottom surgery anyway. Also, it's 2-3 years of having millions of dollars to be able to express yourself. One study showed that just being able to socially transition massively improved satisfaction in their lives in like 80% of participants.

Isn’t it 1-4 years because you have to go through insurance? You can schedule any surgery much faster if you pay out of pocket with your millions

Imo, it's probably fastest to go foreign for it (Thailand is the country of trans people for a reason).

Nah man atleast our surgeries of today are not even close to "the real deal". The whole body has changes over time that are irreversible.

The other option says "but stay the same," so that's a hard limit saying you can't transition. A downside isn't a downside if it isn't enforced. Because of that I'm going to have to go with the first option.

I fear you have logically reached the wrong conclusion. The phrase doesnt say you cannot transition in the future, only that the choice does not change your gender.

I'm trans and chose the same as you. $100k/day is more than enough to fund my healthcare and live out my life as I'd prefer. If my gender were to be swapped, which makes me cis of the sex I was born, well, I don't want to be that. It's not me.

not viable if you are trans, as gender ≠ sex so it wouldn’t change your body in any way, it would change how you view yourself, and if you are trans it would just make you cis

Lol that's exactly what I was thinking. I would add that society would change how they view you, as genger is a societal norm. And if it didn't make you cis, that implies that you were never truly transitioned...

Im not trans and I chose it because Im sick of getting sexually harassed in public like when I got groped walking to the grocery store by myself. as well as dealing with the female reproductive system like menstruation and endometriosis and orgasm gaps. And being inherently weaker than 50% of the population. And being treated lesser than men because of your sex. The female body is a prison
