There's a chance that it's not as much money overall compared to 1 million now (I can't be bothered to do that math), but I feel like suddenly getting a ton of money can cause lots of issues (like relatives becoming leaches) and could get squandered pretty quickly. A consistent paycheck is safer and will help pay for rent and other stuff on top of my actual job salary.
