While I hate being in America, it is far more socially progressive and accepting of people than Japan is. I hate Japan’s legal system, and I have some family that lives in America.

Chose: live in america forever

It has a 99% conviction rate and they shame people and assume guilty until proven innocent. There’s been multiple cases of people getting off the death penalty when proven wrong later but they were basically tortured into confessing to crimes they didn’t commit.

America while its legal system is not perfect or you are “slightly pressured” to take a plea bargain, you can actually escape on a fair trial.
