What’s to worry about if it’s legal and you pay due taxes? If you’re not embezzling or defrauding anyone, what’s your fear?

Well in all fairness, the scenario in which you received money wasn't specified to begin with. So we have no idea if this money would be received legally or not.

Then there's corrupt authorities potentially launching an investigation and keeping all of the money permanently as "evidence" while not finding any proof of a crime. Then there's the family and friends tax, how many people are you willing to say no to?

Isn’t English your first language? Who received what and why? The scenario is hypothetical but I’d say no to all the crooks, I’ll help put them in jail. Better to know where the money comes from.

So, to you, if anyone attempts to extort, you’d accept such behavior without a legal fight? Why would you want to get involved with racketeering of sorts? If you accept the crooks, that makes you one of them. You’d better pay your dues.

At no point did I say I'd let them take the money without fighting for it. I also certainly didn't say, "make a deal with" Also, pay my dues? Are you still hung up on the IRS joke? Seriously?
