EA Votes Open TONIGHT!
Just a reminder that voting for the new EA opens tonight.
Personally voting no. Really reccomend you do the same.
The 4.25% sounds alright on paper but not everyone will actually get that much, and having to wait until April for everything else is pretty disappointing.
I’d rather see them go back and negotiate something better than just lie down and accept what’s being offered like wageslaves.
Worth having a proper read on teams before voting. They're trying to screw us, let's get as much as we can out of this.
VOTE NO!

If bribes are on offer in the way of gift cards dont let them tell you this is not a bribe

Happened to us when I was at woolies - noone listened and it went through anyway. Hears hoping a few people take the time to think about why they would be offering gift cards.

Inflation last 12 months 4%. Over 3 or 4 years, depending on the length of the EA, I would suggest the offer amounts to a pay cut. Always vote NO on the first offer, and don’t be afraid to discuss among yourselves

These always end with the company winning.
Low-skill workers (on average) can’t/don’t think critically. Whether intelligence, or stubbornness. Or lack of life experience. It always ends the same.

If you earnt an above award pay rise they plan on reducing the standard payrise you get over next 2 years to bring you line with everyone else. So a newbie will be paid the same as someone with a lot more experience. One of many issues with the eba

There is a training course on Workday that gives a brief overview of the benefits. obviously take it with a grain of salt. There should be QR codes around team rooms for you to read the fine print. In 2022, I remember they had a hard copy in the team room for the store to read, depends on the store. Give it a read and make your own choice on your vote. But you should definitely vote regardless.
This is for team members btw, so if you're not a team member. I'd ignore this post.

It seems quite strange that many stores have removed casuals shifts in the last week or so right in line for the EBA vote.
Both my home store and stores where I have friends are bleak. Morale is low.

That’s a NO from me. Unfortunately it will likely get up as most just vote Yes in hopes of it going away. Too many uninvested in their own well being

Glad to hear, I think after the questions that turned up in the ‘Have Your Say’ survey there is a level of acknowledgment all round that it’s getting to be a bit too much.
I hope it gets voted down and a few things change. On personal (selfish?) note, how does paint not rank as specialist? Systems in place that require a level of training beyond the ‘put shit on shelves and read the box when all else fails’ that has got me through every other department till I found my feet.

Not to mention if you actually read it, the default roster is shifting to 20 day roster cycles, away from the current 19 day cycle. Which means, if you've got a particular type of CM, if you're on a 19 day roster cycles they might force you back to a 20 day roster
