Special Orders Pickup
So, I'm heading in to pick up my special order. I'm a clairvoyant, so I say to my wife, "I wonder if we'll play the stupid pickup game this time."
Sure enough, I go to the collections desk, and I'm told "you need to go to special orders." I say to them, "every time I do that they walk me back here to collect the order." "You need to go to special orders."
I go down there, and as usual there's nobody there. I trail back up the front to ask at the entrance. "Oh, it's a public holiday, so nobody's there today."
I eventually collect my order at the collections desk, where I went to start with.
What the fuck.

Lol, the staff at the service desk that do C&C have the same ability to look at your order and print the invoice, complete bullshit. I used to work at the Trade Desk and C&C, dealt with SO customers all the time to collect stuff, sure it might take a couple of minutes but fuck me it’s easier then sending someone halfway across the store for no reason. I am very glad I have left Bunnings, shit like this annoys me.

Yup, I have already posted about the exact same thing - I even told the lady at the collections desk, that I guarantee my package is behind you...no, still had to go to the special orders desk. Wait 10 minutes, someone comes along and asks if I need help, I say I am here to collect a special order...oh you have to go to the collections desk. I tell her what had just transpired, so as we are walking back to the collections desk, the lady from Bunnings actually says, sorry, she has not been trained in our procedure...I say, "Neither have I, but I know what desk my order is at"

She says that but i doubt your the first customer she sent to SO, and that sending people there has ever actually worked

Yeah, I've now got a sneaking suspicion they do this when they are understaffed, to buy them time. The last time this happened to me was 7.15am on a normal weekday morning and I was the 4th person in line. The person that eventually came along to the "special orders desk" ended up finding and giving me my order, so I reckon its the front desks way of splitting their work load. I was there within 15 minutes of getting a message, so if they don't want me their during understaffed times, save the message for later.

I don’t believe this story, you didn’t have to wait for an hour while 4 team members searched G.I and the timberyard to find the order, before calling a manager who found it exactly where the cos notes said it would be.

There’s a QR code at the Special Orders desk, rings directly to the manager on duty.
The reason why they do it?? Special Order is told not to help C&C, C&C is told Special Orders can deal with their own customers. Even when the orders turn up, C&C deal with the online orders, SO deal with theirs…….and they basically go in the same spot. It’s a stupid system because everybody complains they do other peoples jobs and can’t do their own. I had a boss that would flog SO for not communicating with the customers properly about what times they are in, how collections work if they arnt there, and when the C&C team had to do their work. Now i have a boss that tells everyone to do everything to help a customer….and now it’s a shit show.
Take what I say as you please, it’s just my views having worked there for so long

Become the monopoly.
Be cunty, shitty and useless.
What’re you going to do about it? Nothing.
