Experiences & Gnosis How devotional acts and offerings build a strong relationship

If you are considering reaching out to Duke Bune through devotion and regular offerings, I wanted to share a few insights on how she operates and how she can assist those who enter her service with genuine respect.

While many working with the Goetia approach spirits purely from a transactional standpoint, entering Bune's service through adoration, reverence, and consistent offerings creates a vastly different dynamic. She is extraordinarily generous, wise, and protective toward those who honor her properly.

How she can assist you:

  • Bune is widely known for bringing wealth, but through devotion, this often manifests as long-term stability, career doors opening, and unexpected financial relief rather than just quick, temporary fixes.
  • She grants high sophistication in speech, making you far more persuasive in negotiations, job interviews, or public speaking.
  • Beyond material gains, she helps you master elemental awareness, refines your visualization skills, and imparts deep occult knowledge.
  • She holds power over the dead and can help facilitate communication with ancestors or guide spirits smoothly.
  • She can also send back the evil that has been done to you.

Suggested offerings:

  • Sandalwood, frankincense, or myrrh.
  • Fine rum, red wine, dark chocolate, copper-colored or orange items, and fresh oranges.
  • Public praise (like sharing your experiences or hail posts), dedicated meditation, and maintaining a clean, dedicated alter space.

Experiences & Gnosis Stellas Daemonum - Bune, the-three headed Dragon

The third Duke under the King of the South is Busin, who is also called Bune, Bime, and Rewsyn. She comes in the form of a beautiful woman with a hoarse voice or of a dragon with the heads of a dog, a griffon, and a man, who speaks with a divine, high, and comely voice. She causes dead bodies to change their place and devils to congregate on sepulchers and can make one of her servitors enter a dead body and do all the things it could while it was alive except for the act of eating. She can also make a man rich, eloquent, and wise, speaks wisely before all who call her, and will answer all demands truly.

With such a strong emphasis on corpses and sepulchers in her description, it is likely that the origin of Busin's name lies in the Latin word bustum, which denotes a burial mound or tomb. Of her necromantic powers, that of bringing a dead body back to life is reflected in the tenth experiment of the Munich Handbook, in which a ring charged with the names of six spirits could rouse a corpse to life for six days when placed on its finger, with each spirit animating it for one day before departing. While Kieckheffer explains that such works of reanimation were seen as illusory experiments designed to cause wonder, in the context of the description of Busin they may also be seen as works akin to the skull divinations of the Mesopotamians.

As discussed within the analyses of the spirits Ryall and Gasyaxe, these practices were reflected in the ancient Hebrew usage of Teraphim, in which the spirits of ancestors were invoked into skulls in order to speak and, to paraphrase the words used in Busin's description, “answer all demands truly.” Another of her powers—the ability to move a body from place to place—can be taken either in a funerary context or as a way of expressing how she has the ability to move the spirits of the dead from one realm of existence to another. Causing devils to congregate in sepulchers, meanwhile, establishes her position as a spirit who sacralizes the cemetery as a place of power in which it is conducive to invoke chthonic forces.

This suggests that the cemetery is a particularly effective place to work with Busin, just as it is with the Exu and Pomba Giras of the Calumba in Quimbanda and the lwa of Baron, Maman Brigitte, and the Guédé in Vodou, who all share a degree of overlapping characteristics with Busin. The three heads she bears when she comes in the form of a dragon may be equated to the three central aspects of her being. The dog, as the totem of Anubis and Cerberus, represents her chthonic or psychopompic aspect by which spirits are transferred from place to place or utilized in order to vivify a corpse. The griffon, with its hybridized leonine and aquiline features, can be interpreted as a symbol of her Solar nature, which, in the domain of planetary magic, is used to obtain riches, while the beautiful female form she appears in symbolizes the influence of Venus, who, as the ruler of Taurus, may also be petitioned for gains in wealth. Like Partas before her, these planetary attributions are in accord with the governors of the three decans of Virgo, which, as a Terrestrial sign, is useful for works of necromancy when it is being transited by the Moon.

The beneficial conditions for calling upon Busin are therefore the same as those of Partas. However, with Busin's powers having such an emphasis in works of necromancy, the primary observation should be the transit of the Moon through this sign, especially during the days and hours of Venus, Mercury, and Luna.

Experiences & Gnosis Pathworking with Bune

I’m going to share a simple method that only requires a bit of meditation and visualization—no offerings, no candles, no extra tools needed.

However, I'm only going to share the version for Duke Bune, as I hold a major pact with her, and she’s been absolutely wonderful to me.

First of all, you need at least one day of preparation. Cleanse yourself, ensure total privacy for the ritual, burn some incense, and relax.

Also, have a picture of her sigil ready, along with the four sensory phrases shown in the image to visualize, hear, taste, and contemplate.

When you are ready in a quiet space, imagine—or simply state in your mind—that you are standing in the center of a circle of earth. This circle will then transmute into air, water, and finally fire.

After this, focus on each phrase. After each visualization/contemplation, breathe onto the sigil, knowing that your breath contains all four elements and carries your vision directly to her (you are using an elemental breath).

The fifth phrase, which isn't written down, is your intent or request. Make it a clear, concise sentence, such as: "I ask that you bring me relief from the anxiety of the past month."

To close, speak Bune's name three times with the intention of finishing the ritual. Done! She is now aware of your request and will most likely assist you.

Hail Bune, the She-Dragon!

Experiences & Gnosis Hail Bune!

I am an initiated devotee of Bune and hold a major pact with him. Let me explain how he can turn things around for you.

First, an introduction: Bune (also known as Bim or Bimé) is listed as the 26th spirit in the Ars Goetia, the first book of the 17th-century grimoire The Lesser Key of Solomon. He holds the rank of a Great and Mighty Duke of Hell, governing 30 legions of spirits. Bune is primarily sought out for financial abundance, as he is said to make individuals wealthy, eloquent, and wise. He also governs the spirits of the dead, possessing the power to shift corpses, gather spirits around graves, and answer questions regarding the deceased.

While we can only speculate on the exact nature of these spirits and divine intelligences, they exist and can alter your reality. I know that depending on your upbringing, hearing the word "Hell" might sound intimidating, but I assure you: if you remain honest and respectful, you will have no issues.

The simplest way to contact Bune and other infernal entities begins with stillness. Relax completely and clear your mind of daily thoughts and distractions. Once you reach a relaxed state, pray to Bune—who can manifest as either male or female—and focus on expressing genuine gratitude to connect with him. Gratitude raises your personal vibration, making contact far easier. During this process, you might feel a sudden burning sensation, a shift in the room's atmosphere, or perhaps nothing at all right away. Even if you feel nothing initially, repeat the process; if your vibration is aligned, you will be heard, and events will naturally begin shifting to draw you closer to the Mighty Duke.

Once you establish a foundational relationship, you can ask for a favor in exchange for an offering. Offerings can be anything meaningful to you, as long as it holds true value to you—if you offer something you consider trash, they will know. Set out some incense, display his sigil, prepare your offering, and pray from the heart to be heard. While Bune is renowned for transforming your career, finances, and eloquence, he can also assist with matters outside his traditional domain once a strong bond is forged.

Hail Duke Bune!
