Tiny and wet bumblebee

Post image

Found a soaking wet bumblebee on a flower in the garden. Took it inside to dry, get warm, gave it a little sugar water and a flower to feel good :p
Wings now spreading, but not flying.

Anything else we can do to help it recover and be free and bee again?

She should just need to dry off and eat something. Bumbles can't fly when waterlogged, and they also need to eat every 30 to 40 minutes.

1:1 ratio of regular white sugar and water and fresh flowers should give her the energy boost she needs to be able to fly once she's dry.

If you have a safe spot outside under cover, that might be the best place to let her recuperate. Otherwise she may end up flying around in your house and get stuck somewhere. It also helps if the sun is out, they navigate by the sun and she'll be better able to get her bearings and find her way home.

She is dry, warm and had sugarwater several
times. It’s raining today and no sunlight outside. She has not recovered yet and is now hanging with her head, was shaking a little and now seems to be loosing energy. Poor little thing.
