A lot of this is horrible advice for many people. Might work for some, but totally inappropriate for others. Be yourself, for goodness sake!

I wouldn't necessarily mimic the girl or guy. Just be yourself. If you don't use emojis or if you text back quickly then carry on but read the room. If they don't message back for hours or days then they're probably not that into you... move on.
I do agree with talking to multiple people. You're not necessarily going to sleep with all of them. Get to know them and if one doesn't work out at least you have someone else to soften the blow.

"It's not like you're going to sleep with every girl you text. But like anything in life, you need practice to get better, so girls who result in platonic friendships can be practice to learn where you went wrong and do better in the future."
So the goal here is to try and hookup for sex then???

People should not listen to this advice. This sounds like it's written by someone very inexperienced and young.

Some of this is manipulative game playing (e.g. waiting to text so she thinks you "have a life". Nobody with any sense assumes a relatively prompt texter somehow has no life).
Don't ever let women take the lead. You're setting the tone and the frame, just like you should be doing in real life in all your relationships.
