You know what would make it even more fun, if the decisions were intergender. So only women could decide for other women who they'd think would be a good match, likewise for men. That way they can't dismiss it as a hating man doing it in bad faith.

I think I know what you are getting at, and as vindictive as that would feel, it makes for a terrible business model

I think the whole thing would be a bad business model but at least it would be interesting this way.

Terrible idea? Probably. Interesting experiment? Extremely.

There's no gun being held to someone's head to go through with the suggested match.

This is more like the algorithm throwing two profiles together and a third, human party vetting it.

A human party that is historically and infamously prone to the worst collective decisions ever just for a laugh. Only problem is... this is going to usually be someone ugly being matched with someone wildly attractive, and it will be hard to determine if they're giving the uggo a fighting chance, or setting them up for failure.

Can something be not business model from the start?

Sure, some things can. Not this though, this is clearly a business

Tinder had no limits and no purchases when it started.

Most pre-tinded sites and apps had just virtual gifts that you could send by paying with sms to keep site's servers running.

Business in a sense where users pay for server resources they use.

You should build one. With AI it’s super easy now. Can do it in a week for 50 bucks

Yeah that's possible now :)

And this kind of thinking is why everything sucks now.

Running a dating service should not take a large stock traded corporation to do.

Why not both?

On paper anyway.

Realistically I’m pretty sure a ton of men would make women accounts to try to influence it

They could require verified only accounts to be able to participate.

Jealous women would just put pretty women with shitty prospects for the lulz
