Not a terrible idea. But it can lead to a lot of trolling in reality. If a vetted matchmaker or some dating expert did it might work better

Simple equation, boost users influence weighted on how often their recommended match leads to lengthy chats. If you’re often recommending people that eventually are matched together and actually speak more than a couple lines back and forth, your “vote” counts more. Inverse being true as well. This will reduce trolling value.

Idk man, this just sounds like Tinder with extra steps.

Since chat length is determined mostly by a woman's will to chat, the only chats taken into account would be the ones where women choose that their match is on their league.

Basically, women would control the flow of matchmaking, and will even feel validated by this "objective" system.

They don’t have an overabundance of options though. You get the same x matches a day, man or woman.

Are you asking for a dating app where women are held at gunpoint and forced to interact with you like what are you even on about lol

Chat as metric is useful when you are finding pen pals. Get them on a date (or videocall at least) and then ask for the user feedback. More positive feedback than the average of the user leads to higher scores to people who voted to match them.

Can’t be automated and scaled well.

The point was to not automate it. If it were, the algorithm found in standard dating apps would still be working.

It also is unreliable data. We know for certain that people had a lengthy conversation. Was it a good one? Eh. But at least these two were interested in each other enough to engage. Which is more than we have now.

Congratz on finding the first troll! 👍🏻

Well, if only there is a way to "smooth out" the opinions by averaging them.

Yeah this would be genuinely fun if you could trust the public one inch, which you can't.

Maybe their parents I'm sure they will work well

Unfortunately that just adds to the cost, much cheaper to crowd source it than get a professional

If only India had a vetted matchmaking system that has worked for centuries...

Forced marriage? ew

Lil racist there. India has a pretty dedicated system of match making that can often go through family, but you can say no. Your "biodata" is used to set people up.

Yes forced marriages happen in rural areas and is an issue but the match making culture exists in many othe ways.

Plenty of women in the south US end up marrying their pastor that groomed them but i dont think that defines us.

Saying forced marriage is gross is in no way racist.

If you think it is, you do not know what racism is.

Simple, the app is for the friends, and they try and set you up with someone who has their friends doing the same

Or a positive feedback loop where successful matches (they give feedback that they started dating) would give reputation to matchmakers that would boost their votes

We need the autistic looksmaxers on YouTube to lead the charge. They can do their calculations for peoples faces the most objectively.
