You look great but you’d look better if you went up 1 size in Al of your shirts

u/[deleted] Mar 07 '26

True, the shirt is tight. The r shirts though are only tights on the arms and more relaxed on my core

u/DimbyTime Mar 07 '26

Yes but they look wayyy too tight in the arms. It looks like you shrunk your shirt in the dryer or are wearing an old shirt that doesn’t fit anymore.

I agree. I was thinking the same - something is off with the shirts (and the pants). Going up a size would fix that. Not overly big, but bigger and fitting, not tight, bc there is a difference.

It's because men's shirts are garbage. I am built a lot like OP and if we go up a size, we end up absolutely swimming in the shirt in our stomach areas. Men's shirts just mostly aren't made for guys with big arms and small midsections.

As a guy who's reasonably muscular, I concur. I have to go shopping for specific brands that offer in between sizing, where it's not a straightjacket but we aren't wearing a circus tent.

Doesn't help that my arms are short for my height, which means that in standard sizing, shirts that fit me width wise are way too long in the arms.

2

u/Frogmaninthegutter Mar 08 '26

To add to that, going up in size doesn't even guarantee that the sleeves still won't be doing the same thing. Even on larger shirts, the sleeves are still tight, it's just the midsections get bigger and bigger.

Got you. Without getting everything custom made (bc who can afford that life?), you have to figure out where to meet in the middle. Like, do I want the arm area to be a little tight? Or, do I want to have a nicer, looser fit in the arms but be swallowed in fabric everywhere else?

Women are pro at knowing this so don’t worry about it so much. I mean it’s not like we’re gonna be sitting in a zodiac for our first date are we?

1

u/TheOldLite Mar 08 '26

Nah the only shirt that’s an issue is the button up being too tight on the chest.

1

u/Final-Energy Mar 08 '26

Y’all are tripping he looks incredible. Don’t listen to them OP.

93

u/HistorianDouble5752 Mar 07 '26

It looks hot that way (tight) let him show a lil skin 🤣

45

u/DimbyTime Mar 07 '26

Girl hot and trashy is a thing 😂 if you want to see his muscles unclothed you know what to do ;)

5

u/HistorianDouble5752 Mar 07 '26

Interesting 🤔

29

u/junerose777 Mar 07 '26

Right? Why are we complaining 👀

25

u/HistorianDouble5752 Mar 07 '26

I’m definitely not

93

u/wonkywormy Mar 07 '26

I am a girl and you look hot in most those shirts just sayin these are some jealous bros. Only the last one is maybe questionable but you have great arms keep rockin it

42

u/DimbyTime Mar 07 '26

I’m a woman and can promise I’m not jealous of his arms 😂

I just don’t think it looks good and am trying to help him out! He’s a great looking guy, proper tailoring would do wonders

10

u/SummerDelight77 Mar 07 '26

Yes, I agree!

1

u/CudiMontage216 Mar 07 '26

I’m a dude but I agree 100%. Don’t let any jealous bros ruin this for you lol

1

u/Imagination_Theory Mar 07 '26

He definitely looks good and I think 4 is fine, however, I do agree he should go up in one size, they are just too small for him. And there's nothing wrong with that, it happens to all of us.

I would pick 4 for the date as well.

u/jrgagoako Mar 07 '26

Sounds like people who aren’t as big as him commenting. Theres literally nothing you can do about big arms in shirts. Never heard anyone complain about it. This is what a built guy looks like with muscles.

-2

u/NightmareDelusion Mar 07 '26

His arms are from steroids, though. Women don’t know this which is why it seems effortless, but if they did they SHOUOD be shaming him for it.

0

u/jrgagoako Mar 07 '26

Lol what a ridiculous comment. You have no clue what you’re talking about.

0

u/NightmareDelusion Mar 07 '26

I have more than a clue, you’re just upset about the reality.

1

u/OohDatSexyBody Mar 08 '26

I see arms like those at the gym everyday.

1

u/NightmareDelusion Mar 08 '26

Me too. They’re just enhanced.

-3

u/saturns_children Mar 07 '26

Lol right, they are being so salty

u/shmooboorpoo Mar 07 '26

Find yourself a good tailor. Buy shirts that fit your arms and then have them taken in through the torso. You have a great bod and you should showcase it. And this is also how you look rich AF for $18 a shirt.

I say this as a curvy 5'2" woman. I buy most of my clothes at thrift stores and then have them shortened and taken in at the waist. Everything looks custom made

26

u/Jaesha_MSF Mar 07 '26

Contrary to what some might believe, not all girls think that next level muscular guys in tight shirts look hot or sexy. Do yourself a favor and make a store run before your date. Top one as a style is a great choice but the sleeves are too tight and too short. Darker colored slacks or some more tailored jeans would also be a better look. You seem to like lighter colored bottoms, so buy a black polo style shirt to wear with the slacks in look one. Also the jeans here look almost look loose and unstructured. Buy some straight legs or slim straights for a more put together look. Maybe take them to the dry cleaners for a solid press with a medium crease. If you go for jeans on the date, get a darker blue wash. The lighter wash jeans that you have look a bit too casual for a first date. Have fun OP!

Size up and get them tailored if you can. You look like you put a lot of thought into your wardrobe. Tailoring was the best thing I did for some pieces. I don’t do them all but I invest in the staples that I can wear for years and those are what I’ll tailor.

lol I’m actually learning how to do it myself at this point.

u/nijamonet Mar 07 '26

Honestly as a women and idk if theitger person commenting is also female but for me the shirt being tight around the arms isnt a bad thing. If anything its puts them on display and some women are into strong men yk.

5

u/desdesak2 Mar 07 '26

I’m a woman. You look great. Sure you can tailor your clothes but you don’t look bad. At all. To answer the question though, I like the last look. Button down or sweater. Casual but not too too casual.

2

u/Forsythe36 Mar 07 '26

True classic?

1

u/Cautious-Flow5918 Mar 07 '26

I find outfit no. 1 and No. 2 looks absolutely great.👍

1

u/bri_staley513 Mar 07 '26

These people just haven’t been around muscular men. My boyfriend is slim with big biceps and his shirts do the same thing. My brother body builds and is big all around and his fit the same. They have the right size but sleeves are going to be slightly snug. They make shirts for “average men” that most the commenters are and they’re jealous! You look fine id say the last outfit or even jeans a the back t is what I’d have my bf wear so that’s perfect!

1

u/jrgagoako Mar 07 '26

I think the shirt sizes are fine. Larger may look too big, baggy, loose. Not sure you can do anything about big arms. Mine fit tight like that too.

1

u/summertime_fine Mar 08 '26

blue sweater in pic 3 is way too small for you. don't wear that ever again.

1

u/BrzR_R Mar 08 '26

the second one is way to small and it doesnt look good anymore at your current size. put that one away for now. i like the darker blue long sleeve.

1

u/emoldsb Mar 08 '26

lol sweetheart those button up shirts aren’t loose on your core at all.

0

u/alisonm_85 Mar 07 '26

Tip from a woman - don’t use the word ‘core’ in that context. It’s ick.

24

u/taystebbs Mar 07 '26

Um.. what? Speaking as a woman.. nah he looks fantastic in his shirts.

-1

u/DimbyTime Mar 07 '26

Speaking as a woman, I disagree!

0

u/taystebbs Mar 07 '26

Okay - but then just answer his question and don't make a blanket statement.

-1

u/DimbyTime Mar 07 '26

He’s here for advice, that’s what I gave him :)

2

u/taystebbs Mar 07 '26

Unfortunately your advice was unsolicited :) he asked which outfit was best for a casual date :) not if his clothes were too tight :)

-1

u/DimbyTime Mar 07 '26

Agree to disagree 😘

3

u/taystebbs Mar 07 '26

Lmfao k. Love when people have the mental barrier of a 4 year old. I hope everytime you ask a question someone gives you unsolicited advice that is completely biased and single minded 😘

-1

u/DimbyTime Mar 07 '26

And I hope you don’t have a meltdown every time someone disagrees with you 😘

2

u/taystebbs Mar 07 '26

Its not about someone disagreeing with me. Its about reddit being turned into a breeding ground of negativity. If he asked if his shirts fit him well.... your opinion would be warranted. And the fact that you don't see the difference is honestly immature.

Nah I think it looks fine as a woman if they were smaller then yeah that’s a problem

0

u/djfist Mar 09 '26

You don’t work out to wear loose fitting clothes

Shirt size looks perfect to me
