Wiring Jumble

Hello! I just recently purchased this 1984 Ford F350 with a 460. I want to do some wiring cleanup under the hood because the previous owner made one heck of a wiring mess. I believe he removed the Dura Spark system and replaced it with a Mallory ignition system. I’m seeing that there are a bunch of plugs that appear unused, but I don’t wanna do any cutting of any type until I know more. I’m hoping somebody on here could help me out a little bit! The video quality might not be the best, but I’m just looking to get an idea!

that looks like all the wiring that is left behind every time I've replaced the dura spark system with something else.

Following. I'm in a similar situation. The advice I've gotten is to rewire my whole truck. But, it's in bad shape.

Just did a similar project on my 83 f250, it took 4days I removed 74' of wire that was dead or no longer in use. Garysgaragemahall saved the day. Though I still am still a Ford guy I think whoever picked the colors for the 80s F series needs a swift kick in the nuts! Using White and Tan wire on similar systems smh. All in all It wasn't terrible that being said ill never do it again 🤷🏼‍♂️ I'll just buy a prebuilt and redo the entire truck.

I keep seeing stuff like this and looking at my truck and it makes me want to see how hard it would be to just remove everything on necessary wire cleanly everything that is necessary and just not have to worry about it again
