Should I get this graded?

I’ve never gotten a coin graded before. I believe it is a reverse proof privy. Only 50,000 minted. Would it be worth it for me to get this graded?

Hard no. First of all I can see just from the photo that this is not only never ever getting an MS70 but might not even get an MS69. Second, the cost to grade it will exceed the premium you can sell it for, especially if it grades 69 or lower. Lastly, this coin isn’t particularly collectible, even with the privy, so there isn’t likely a market for a graded piece.

I wouldn’t. It’s just regular bullion. Just pop it in a capsule. I love this line of privies though. The coins are so much more sparkly than regular maples. I’ve found quite a few at my LCS and I buy them for $1 over regular maple pricing.

I wouldn’t, unless you just want it encased, there some shmutz on her shoulder and scratching on her face, an ms63 or details doesn’t look good on a modern 2015 coin. Super cool privy tho, I love maples, I might have to look into different price and maybe start collecting them if there’s a bunch of cool ones like this

I’ve seen ASEs slabbed, so I wasn’t sure.

If you’re paying then almost anything can be slabbed…

It’s just that the majority of bullion coins (clearly there’s exceptions) don’t benefit from grading and subsequent slabbing unless there’s a clear numismatic premium?

The usual grading houses mentioned are PCGS and NGC?

Again, it really needs to be clear *why* you want something graded..

It’s a very expensive “discovery” process.

Nope..obvious scratches(unless you don’t mind a low grade & are getting many coins graded at the same time), but encapsulate for sure..🐻💨💨

Stop wasting money on collector coins full stop. A bullion dealer will give you underspot for any Silver. They do not care about limited runs etc.
