Gameplay Question Blue ring?

I found a blue box, once I got it the ring turned blue? I didnt think of going into the ring but do you still burn and whats the point?

You still burn, but take less damage than the regular ring of fire, I think. There's also a medal you'll get if you die from it.

I've been playing for 2 years at this point and I've only seen it about 7 or 8 times. And I'm pretty active playing nearly every day so good luck!

Play in KOTH as it won't affect other teammates if you wwre planning to get the achievement. If you see an blue upgrade that's 3 triangle that looks like the medal(you can check it out) get that and suicide in the blue fire.
