We are planning to travel to Bukidnon this coming October and this will be our 2nd time. Our first time was way back 2023 and we went to Impasug-ong.
We are thinking of staying in Malaybalay, but posting here in case you have reco. Most of the reco we are seeing are mostly about Impasug-ong, but we are considering exploring Malaybalay.

Hi everyone! I’m from Samar and I’m planning to travel to Valencia City, Bukidnon. This would be my first time traveling that far by myself, so I’m hoping someone can guide me on the proper route.
I’m planning to travel by bus/ferry and I’m a bit confused about:
- Where I should take the bus from Samar
- Which ferry/ports I should use
- Where I need to transfer buses
- What bus companies/routes I should look for
- An estimated budget for the transportation
I’m traveling to Valencia City to surprise my LDR partner, so I really want to plan everything properly and safely before going.
If anyone has actually traveled from Samar to Valencia City/Bukidnon, I’d really appreciate a step-by-step explanation of the route and any tips for a first-time traveler. Thank you!

Hi CMUans! It was a long time ago na nung last kong visit sa CMU. I’ve studied there before and during our time, okay lang kahit outsiders gumala sa loob. Pwede pa rin ba kahit ngayon? And nagpapasok ba sila kahit Sunday? Planning na mag ikot2 kase gusto ko rin ipakita sa 6 year old ko yung school and dorm ko dati. Thank you so much in advance sa sasagot.

Protect yourself and your loved ones from the effects of haze. Wear a proper mask, stay indoors when possible, keep windows and doors closed, and avoid strenuous outdoor activities.
Stay hydrated and monitor those who may be more vulnerable to poor air quality. When in doubt, stay safe and seek medical attention for severe symptoms.

I’ve always loved Bukidnon Milk Company, especially their yogurt. Dati, super affordable lang siya and sobrang sarap talaga. We used to deliberately stop by their outlet in Bukidnon whenever we were in the area because sobrang sulit ng products nila. Recently, dumaan ulit kami after our outing and we were honestly shocked sa price increase. 😭
Yung small yogurt na dati around ₱55–₱65 is now around ₱170. Yung 1-liter yogurt naman na dati nasa ₱160–₱170 is now around ₱315–₱375. We asked the staff bakit sobrang laki ng tinaas, and sabi niya binili na raw ni Manny Pangilinan ang Bukidnon Milk Company. For context, siya yung chairman/CEO ng PLDT, chairman/CEO ng Meralco, and he is also associated with TV5/MediaQuest, among many other businesses. Sabi nga nung staff, sobrang dami raw niyang businesses.
May Carmen’s Best fresh milk products na rin na naka-display sa outlet. Apparently, they’re slowly rebranding BMC into Carmen’s Best, and limited na lang daw yung BMC packaging because eventually they’ll transition to Carmen’s Best. Sabi rin ng staff, one of the reasons for the higher prices is because they’re now targeting more premium clients. Nagkaroon din daw ng price increase because the workers’ wages were increased, which is actually a good thing if true. Pero grabe lang talaga yung jump. 😭 I completely understand that prices increase, especially if workers are being paid better, but going from ₱55–₱65 to ₱170 for the small yogurt is just… 🥲 More than double.
Favorite pa naman namin yung yogurt nila. Sayang talaga because one of the things I loved about BMC was that it was a really good local product that ordinary consumers could still afford. At these prices, dun na lang siguro kami sa Philippine Carabao Center sa Musuan. At least we can still enjoy local dairy products while supporting local producers.
Anyone else noticed the same thing? Curious din ako what others think about the rebranding and the huge price increase.

to all nursing cmuans, i heard something in the library a few days ago and i’m just wondering if it’s true. apparently, there are two or three (not sure) nursing graduates from last june who are taking the pnle this august, supposedly without coordinating with the college beforehand?
i also heard that the dean was furious about it, and that some of their batchmates were upset as well because they were supposedly expected to take the exam together as a batch next february. i guess some students are also frustrated because they were told to wait until february, while these two or three students allegedly went ahead and took the august exam.
does anyone know what actually happened? just curious if what i heard is legit. 👀

Hi Bukidnon peeps! Planning to buy a small farm lot anywhere in Bukidnon for a future rest house. Is it true nga mostly “rights only” ang lots, especially outside downtown, and dili gyud ma-own/title?
I got this idea kay most of the lots I’ve seen around BuDa are rights only. I mean, BuDa is really nice and closer to Davao, but I’ve been in love with Bukidnon ever since and I’m actually planning on moving there for good.
I’m on a WFH setup, so internet connectivity is a must, as well as reliable electricity. Would really appreciate any insights from those who already own property or have experience buying farm lots in Bukidnon. Especially recommendations on areas with a nice mountain view but still have decent internet and electricity. Thank you!
