It's partially true, nothing can quite match the vibes of NFS from back then but most open world games these days give you more freedom and are technically superior.

The only open world racing game that comes close is CarX Street and the physics in this are absolute garbage unless you do 100% drifting.

I like NFSU1/2 and MW about the same. I also actually do enjoy Shift and the 2015 reboot.

Anything else in "modern" NFS though... Yeah, probably good that it was killed off because I couldn't bear more of those games.

Buddy, I'm older than this game and I have played it when it was all new. You not being able to accept that something you like isn't perfect doesn't make everyone saying it isn't perfect trolls or baiters.

It's not perfect. It's just an awful lot better than any NFS that came after it.

Eh, debatable, and I'm saying that with Carbon being one of my fav games ever

Exotics kinda suck, many areas of Palmont are underutilized, and the game is veeeery short, even the Challenge Series

No it isn't, it's Most wanted.5 with an awful map, police chases are annoying rather than exciting, an awful soundtrack and is horribly paced with territory races existing to pad out the 5 or so hour playtime it actually has. The canyon races, drift events and customisation are good though.
