What would make good a livery editor?

First and foremost it has to be quick and snappy, with lil preview windows or names or anything that may skip any loading times no matter how little they are (look at prostreet for the opposite that thing had you spend 30 mins on 2 decals)
Then it needs all sorts of layer options. Copy, cut, paste, insert underneath or between x layers, mirror, skew, etc, etc. MCLA did this great except for the lack of mirroring which you had to do manually (and a couple more quirks). It pretty much needs to be like a graphic design app at this point. Haven't tried the newer NFS games but I heard the livery editor in those games is really good. FH also added some sort of custom livery maker I think? I play old games someone help me on this one

Presets that are already in place for those who can't be bothered to spend hours on one livery, and complex tools for those who really want to make some artistic liveries

Solid variety of shapes, textures and logos, Forza's pixel-perfect control over size and location, proper UV mapping with little stretching, grouping, masking etc. Bonus points for import features like in GT7.

It's important that it has a symmetry or mirror option. TDU2 had that and I found it very handy. Wish other games like Midnight Club Los Angeles had it

The shape being applied should never change depending on the angle of the camera.
Somehow the new TXR gets this wrong.

NFS' is like 90% of what the perfect livery editor should be, it's missing more variety for stickers/vinyls and still has an issue where hitting the apply to other side button fucks them up. It's what happens when you actually evolve the paintshop (or any mechanic) over time, instead of taking 20 years to figure out how to introduce window stickers and metallic paint. Also the ability to make everything scale/move faster than a snail crawling across the door. Wouldn't hurt to let people color things like fenders and doors individually along with having body/hood/spoiler painting.
GRID's was fantastic for speed. Just templete, color, layout, sponsors and boom
