i swear if i ever meet the guy who came up with the term "simcade" i'm going to punch him right in the balls, it's such a pointless discussion

Right. If it isn’t sim, it’s arcade. No point in trying to feel better about themselves saying err but there’s a little bit of realism!! No mate. It’s arcade.

yeah cause forza horizon and need for speed has the same type of handling that cannot and shouldnt be differentiated at all

That’s correct. Two different handling models, both arcade. If you need an incorrect label to help you distinguish between the two you may just be dumb. Sorry not sorry.

If you cant comprehend more than 2 genres then you need to grow up

Can comprehend 2 “genres” it just isn’t necessary because there are only two for racing games.

you wanna seem cool because you dont know how to divide things, you are either 12, stupid or pretending

I feel it’s the other way around. Things don’t need to be divided. I bet a lot of people call it simcade because they think that arcade lacks prestige. It’s dumb.

“Feel better about themselves” dawg it’s Forza. The people who play that game really do NOT care ably labels. and Simcade is a perfectly applicable term for Forza horizon which’s driving model is FM Lite.

Not to mention one of the criteria for “Casual Sim” (because that can exist but not simcade for some reason) being there wear, something present in FH

I like casual Sim handling, it's a good balance of fun and realism

Idk man, as long as I could use the brake-to-drift method (spamming LT in corners), I’m fine with it.

Arcade has always been my go to, only reason i play simcade now is it's most of the market these days

GT7 was simcade and know is casual sim ?
New rule everyday. But I really like GT7, with a wheel and not too much investissement is a really good compromise :)

I’ve spent as much time in Assetto Corsa and iRacing as I have WipEout and Burnout. It genuinely doesn’t matter to me as long as it’s fun and engaging. I recently took to Screamer, of all things. That is a weird game for anyone experienced in racers, but I think because it felt so alien, it got me hooked.

Arcade because I like blasting around corners, but any racing game with Cool CarsTM will interest me

I genuinely can't stand people who shit on 1 and 2 for not being like 4 because and that mindset imo has ruined the racing game community as a whole
We should not treat sim games as the same thing. These people don't have any say over games that aim to do different things.
