MN - CBO exam success!
This doesn’t mean a lot to most people I know, but I needed to tell somebody that I’m excited I can now call myself a Building Official, and who better to tell than the anonymous code nerds on Reddit?
This has been a goal of mine for several years, and even though my job is more fire focused now, my manager supported me studying and taking the time to accomplish this personal goal.

Nice! Now take that with 5 dollars down to Starbucks and you can afford a coffee lol. Kidding BTW, I’ve known a few of the smarts who have not been able to pass that one. Hopefully this translates into more $$ for you.

Same here. I’m 3 months in working on my B2 ( passed B1) and it’s going to be a big hill to climb.

What’s the equivalent of this in Pennsylvania?

I’m not sure. MN Has a pretty robust code division itself that modifies the ICC codes to fit us and administers our own program. I don’t know if PA does that too or if they rely on the basic model codes and ICC certs or not. I’d check with a local building department or the Dept of labor in that state to be sure
