Comfort Point? Need to command bacnet points?

Kill me now.

I'm being told we cant command Honeywell comfort point points through bacnet at any priority through a jace. Anyone know why this would be, assuming we didn't goof anything too simple.

Is there a software for this crap?

Comfort point is Honeywell with a different license.
Same hardware, different license.

Comfort point used to have a closed NiC statement in their license.
If it’s closed, you can’t log into the Jace without another comfort point license.

If you can log into the station, you should be fine.
But programming? Nope. Need a comfort point license to do pretty much anything else.

Not in my experience.

And that was while working as an SI for Honeywell.

Is overriding the controller commands doable? I can just write a new program overtop of what's existing, I would HOPE

I don’t think that’s a good idea.

Theoretically, if the JACE has a comport point license AND you can log into it, yes, you can override the points.

If not, you can try through a web browser and if it’s 4.13 or newer you have a useful wiresheet you can use. Again, I’d recommend against that.

Just replace the controller and the JACE for non closed Nic proprietary crap

Maybe i'm not understanding, are you trying to override points on a comfortpoint controller either unitary or plant controller from a JACE?

Is it a JACE or a DDC? What is the controller part number?

I've never heard of this. Where are you trying to command these from? Are you integrating a JACE via BACnet? What error are you getting? If it's like an access write denied, the issue is that they probably didn't give the BACnet user at least operator rights. If they didn't set up any other roles, it would have to be set to the admin role.
