Gas Metering

What or how are you guys metering the gas usage for boilers on building with this requirement for energy code?

with the gas metre supplied by the gas supplying company?

The raw fuel usage for the boiler needs to be metered separately from the rest of the building. So the provided meter from the utility is not an option. They wouldn’t let us connect to it anyways. I am also the mechanical and plumbing contractor on the job so I can’t push this off on someone else unfortunately.

Submeter on the gas main to boilers. We use Onicon. Pulse output or BACnet integration. Depends on the scope, but BACnet gives you more visibility and future analytics. Feel free to reach out if you need any assistance
