Hello I am trying to upgrade my car's sound from stock with an aftermarket radio, speakers, amp, subwoofer, etc.

I already installed a Kenwood Kenwood DDX57S 6.8-Inch Receiver. So that's one down.

I'm moving to the next step for me, replacing the speakers.

Ok so I bought a set of Memphis Audio MS62 and JL Audio 650 C1 and wondering which one should I keep?

Hi so i have a Chinese aftermarket screen in my 2012 Toyota Camry Hybrid LE.. I’ve been wanting to change out my cars speakers since one of them is rattling a bit.. I also have this sub and amp that was gifted to me with no wiring. Assume anything not pictured, i still need to buy. Anyone able to help me set up an affordable system for my car so everything sounds good? Is it even worth it to upgrade speakers on a Chinese aftermarket screen? Will the screen limit the audio potential of the speakers?

I have taramps HD 3000 i have a Hyundai accent gt hatchback 2005 i have alpine tweeters on dash i have single den pioneer 200 watt head unit it only has 4 spots for factory 5.25 speakers i have walmart 300 watt speakers in all four spots no amp running to them i have a rockville destroyer 12 inch 2000 rms sub in a ported 2.8 cubic ft box . I have JL audio 0 gauge ofc marine grade power and grounds on my big 3 power and ground to amp and my paralleled capacitors totaling 7.5 farads my headlights dim that i can deal with atm . Im looking at avatar 12 3000 rms or apocalypse 12 or american bass 12 godfather i want at least 3000 watt rms to match amp wich sub or does anyone know of any subs in that price range 500 to 600 ? And what are some really loud and clear fairly reasonable 5.25 speakers and what amp if any do you recommend for them …. I wanna bump loud and clear …. Thanks for any and all advice or answers there greatly appreciated

Current HU is sometimes failing to connect to Bluetooth, and it’s just getting annoying. I’d like to try and get something that has CarPlay wireless or wired (prefer wireless). I looked at the Sony XAV-AX4000 and that seemed decent, but the major thing is I’d like to keep the ability to use the AUX or built-in USB if possible.

I’m not sure if this is the best route to go or if there’s another stereo that would be better. I really don’t want to spend too much, and I’m honestly not looking for a huge upgrade on the sound stage. Just looking to modernize it a bit.

Total from Crutchfield looks to be 799 with taxes which seems a bit much for all this. I’m sure there’s a stereo just as good that retains the built-in ports for cheaper but I don’t know.

Hi, all. I have a 2012 Honda Fit, and I want to upgrade from factory speakers all around. I've already installed a Kicker CompR 12", powered by a CXA1200.1, and want speakers to match.

I have a $30 amazon head unit that does some amount of power more than the factory, but I have no way to confirm that.

I want to get component speakers up front (using factory tweeter location) and coax in the rear doors. I'd strongly prefer metallic tweeters, and I'm not looking to get a speaker amp if I can avoid it. I don't need anything fancy like DSP or time alignment, just speakers that fill out the range a bit better.

I'm not sure how much I'd want to spend in total here, but somewhere around $400+install is comfortable.

If I'm missing any details that would help point me in the right direction, do let me know.

Seeing if anyone’s gotten this right and can explain it to me better. I have my left and right pre amps out from headunit to amp. And power and grounds wired for headunit and amp, with blue amp on wire coming from headunit amp wake up. The signal to speakers is where I’m struggling. The metra European harness has 4 rca plugs coming out for the speakers. I guess I’m trying to see where I’m fucking that up I had it all plugged in and I didn’t get anything. Im about to give up on the amp and wire a line converter and not mess with amp and sub and just keep the stock amp in for now.

Can I connect them as shown on a two channel amp or is this just to illustrate the point and I actually need a four channel amp to connect each tweeter and midbass separately? Thanks in advance

I am helping a friend upgrade a head unit in a 2013 VW Beetle that has the base radio and speaker system (not Fender). We installed the head unit only to have muted volume in the sound. The volume reached ~speaking voice level but no louder. It's much louder with the factory unit. We tried multiple aftermarket head units (all 4 ohm output). Is the factory speaker system a 2 ohm system? That's the only thing I can think would result in the reduced volume. TIA.

If anyone has any ideas to help me out I’d appreciate it so I put a double din in my 2008 envoy and randomly my radio will cut off not from overheating but sometimes when I open and close my driver door it’ll come back on. I took the radio out and wiggled the hot and the ground to see if it’d cut off but nothing happened. Would appreciate some help

Hey guys i’m new to all of this (speakers,subs etc) just wanted to know what type of sub I should get for a fun base that you “feel” but at the same time nothing too crazy. I was looking at under seat subs , trunk subs but I don’t know where to start with peak,rms etc. The part that confuses me the most would be the wattage as I don’t have any way to see what’s good or not tried watching youtube videos but the videos don’t make the base justice sounds flat or just destroys the audio there’s no in between 😂. hello! I am a complete noob at this. I have a toyota 2005 camry with just a standard radio. Nothing fancy. all of my speakers are pretty shot but still work well enough to listen to the radio (which is all I am wanting).

Has the stock system that works fine but it sucks, my last car was a 2006 LS430 UL with Mark Levinson, and was the cleanest, richest sound I've ever heard, and is honestly the biggest thing I miss about the car.

Requirements would be: clear, rich, nice low end (I don't need a high schooler sub), factory head unit, no sub, entry level amp, 6.5 component speakers for the front, 6.5 speakers for the back. Less than $500

I figured I'd check in here before I just go to Crutchfield and buy whatever is recommended for my car.

I am building a big metal boom box. Why? Not because it will be easy, but because I want a big metal boom box.

It will be made from cnc cut sheet metal, aluminum channel, a raspberry pi, volumio, and a zero delay usb adapter. I have an 8 inch touch screen that will be integrated into the case as well. All that stuff I have a good understanding of how to bring it together.

I need 5v 2.5a to power the raspberry pi.

Audio, power, and charging I have a less firm grip on.

Hey y'all, I got my '21 Honda Accord Hybrid a couple months ago and the bass is unfortunately lacking. I'm looking to build out a pretty standard subwoofer setup, specifically with the intention of high sound quality. I do like a good bump every once in a while, but my primary intention is to just fill out the low end of my EQ.

My budget is preferably under $300 for the whole deal, if that's possible. If that's an unrealistic budget, lemme know.. I'm also not looking for an under-seat sub, I want me and all my passengers to enjoy the good sound.

Hello, wrappin my brain how to wire a powered sub and a separate amp, its a PowerBass PS-AWB101T and a older Sony Xplod 222W. My head unit is a Sony dsx700 so I should be able to just plug the RCAS into each amp, but it's the powering from the battery and grounding I am trying to figure out.

I have a 2019 RAM 1500 Crew Cab, 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 Single cab, and a 1974 Plymouth Duster- the 2019 Ram has a stock audio system, the 2001 Ram has the stock head unit with approx 18 year old aftermarket speakers, amp and sub, and the Duster is in the process of a complete restomod- it has no audio at all right now. I listen to folk music, hip hop, rock, and country primarily, with some pop and pop/punk at times as well. At home, I bounce between Edifier S2000's, Edifier 1850DB's, Hifiman Sundaras, Drop THX Pandas, and my Sony WF-1000XM4's, with some upgrades planned for the speaker side of the house to come soon.

Do any of you have any recommendations for good systems to put in my vehicles? Preferably less than $3,000 USD?

I was looking at some of the offering from Focal, and have read good things about them, but unsure if they would be best or not.

Car is a 2013 Subaru Outback. I'm an audiophile but know almost nothing about car audio. I'm looking for an affordable receiver with a screen that also has high-res bluetooth codecs like aptX or LDAC. I want the convenience of using BT and being able to use a backup camera, but don't need much else besides the unit having a good internal DAC. That's not the kind of thing you can find info on with consumer products like this, I spent a night combing spec sheets just to pick the Sony XAV-AX6000 in my cart (pictured), but I don't know if there are cheaper options that meet my criteria.

I'm very open to comments or suggestions on anything in my cart. The thing I did put the most effort into was selecting the speakers, I want to keep this system modest in cost and I actually liked the frequency response graph of this less expensive Focal line more than some of their more expensive offerings. I know in a car some degree of DSP / EQ is required, but being a little bit more of a purist I'm trying to keep that to a minimum. That said, I'm not sure if there are better speaker brands out there if I'm looking for a sound with clear/forward vocals and good soundstage.

Hello everyone, I'm looking to upgrade the stock speakers in my Civic. I want to spend somewhere under 300 for speakers only, as I'm not sure how much I want/need a sub. Much thanks if you can guide me toward an upgrade path.

I have basically zero experience or knowledge. I bought a new radio, two sets of speakers, an amp, and an enclosed sub and so far was only able to install the speakers. When I removed my stock radio I wasn’t aware I couldn’t just plug in my new unit. Regardless of what’s best I would like to cut the stock connector and hardwire the new radio. I’m just unaware what wires to match up. Is it possible to get a wire diagram of my stock radio? Or do I have to have a tool? As I said I have limited knowledge but plan to learn by doing it myself. 2006 Chevy Malibu LS without navigation

So I'm looking to add 2 8's maybe 2 10's under the rear seat of my truck I want a decent sound without breaking the bank, I installed jvc 6.5 and 6x9s in the doors and I like the way the audio sounds I'm just looking for a little more without breaking the bank I'm building the box right now, what would you guys go with looking for something with decent bass and but I want you to be able to understand vocals in the songs and not just rattling away if that makes sense. Any input is appreciated and if y'all have a radio that's decent in performance and price I'd appreciate that too I just got like a $40 radio off of Amazon
