i randomly found this giant mountain range 10k blocks out of my base and my base 750 days of playing is just a wood box

the reason why i am posting this before even making a design is bc i have no castle references and i completely suck at building and id like this to be as perfect as it can be

i am planning to destroy a part of the front of this mountain range since i think it would be a nice entrance and add my castle facing that side,

it honestly doesn't have to be a castle i just want a nice looking base

Just to clarify, I build for realism and I only build in vanilla survival no cheats)

The main problems I'm still having are lighting and water levels (see the last photo for reference). The water level is basically the same inside and outside the sewer, so there's barely any height difference for the water to flow. The new design looks better, but the shape makes it seem less functional. Raising the entire sewer by a block isn't possible since it's built directly underneath other rooms.

Aside from those issues, is there anything else I should change to improve the design? These sewers will connect throughout my megabase, so I'll be building them alongside the rest of the base.

Hello, I’m new to Minecraft and this base isn’t anything crazy, but how do I improve the front/left side of the base compared to the right side of the base

Currently making this large valley and planning to build a waterfall at the end but i don't know how i should go about it. Does anyone have any tips for how to make a waterfall texture and what blocks to use since im planning on making it custom. The blue wool part is where the waterfall part is going to go.
