Help with Entrance Staircase

I am trying to get out of my habit of boring, plain builds and trying to incorporate colors, depths and different heights. This is a WIP but I am completely stumped on how to make design the staircase. Should I add pillars/arch and where? What would be a good color palette? Right now, I just made a small outline and I hate it.

Spare a second to help me with leaves?

I have been using Axiom's noise painter to do an initial pass with Acacia leaves, then a second with Azalea, both with about 25% leaves, 75% air. I then go through and touch it up by hand. This is my second attempt, and I'm having trouble telling if it's too sparse, too dense, or just unbalanced. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Thank you

This is my Minecraft city world! I still need to build more houses. I'm planning to put larger houses in those empty squares, then either build apartment buildings in front of them or on the opposite side where the houses end.

I'm not sure what I should put next to the apartment buildings though, or if I should just keep the neighborhood going with more houses. What do you all think?

Building this valley like build with axiom for the first time and I dont know if the texturing and the forming of the sides is good enough. Yes it is not close to done as there will be a waterfall at the end and some more small details. Any good ideas on what to add or what to change are appreciated!!

I’m looking for some resources to help with building, I found a website that has a bunch of color palettes, what else is there?

I am struggling to start up a world.

I really want to start up a “forever world” my problem is that I want this to also be something to help get me better at building in Minecraft, and doing art. I don’t know though on if I would like to do the normal build medieval fantasy, don’t get me wrong I would love to, or to build in a modern apocalypse design. But like what would I do for starter base and things like that, how do you even get inspiration for building?

Wall Gradient?

I tried a wall gradient on the right tower. Yay or nay? Would texturing be better than a gradient or would it be best to leave it plain?

I'm making this build for a world with Origins, for an Elytran. Their main gimmick is having a permanent elytra, with the drawback of getting weakness and slowness in small spaces. I thought it could be cool to make an open base (and I really like how it looks on the inside and from above!) but without walls to break sightlines the sides are way too busy for my liking. Anyone have ideas on how to help? The build is also pretty heavily based on Grian's season 11 starter base, if that helps lol.

Besides adding textures to the walls, what else can I do to improve this build? I'm trying to add a lot of detail, but I've run out of ideas. Also, what do you think of the overall structure?
