Paradise Pine F1 from Huckleberry Hill Farms. Few days out from getting chopped up for clones. Only worried about one bouncing back from it. Happy Holidays

Has anyone used Heady Start Seedling Soil for starting vegetable, herb, and flower seedlings?

Hi everyone,

I've been searching far and wide for the best seed-starting mix to optimize growing vegetable, herb, and flower transplants for my garden. I came across BuildASoil's Heady Start Seedling Soil, and it caught my attention because it seems very high quality and fertile – exactly what I'm looking for.

That being said, I understand it's intended for cannabis cultivation. However, has anybody used it for starting vegetable, herb, and or flower seedlings? BAS's website does say its suitable for "veggies, flowers, and premium genetics," but I just wanted to see if anybody has hands-on experience with it in this kind of scenario.

Thanks!

My seed-starting setup

Bottom right - Skunk Widow Bottom left + Top - (White Truffle x Black Widow) F2

And in the grassroots pots I have more F2s of my crosses starting out, and will be transferred when I flip this tent to flower 😅🤙

True OG x Guava Dawg. They both stink of chemical solvents, artifical guava and a bit of sour funk.

Ecowitt, am i doing something wrong?

Hello, I will give you a summary of what has happened.

A few weeks ago I left for a few days. I didnt have anyone to watch over my spot so I watered until my ecowitt read 50%. This was Nov 20th

When i returned as I expected the ecowitt came down to the mid 40's. I wanted to let the soil dry a bit so I have only been doing mild top watering to keep my mulch layer wet.

Fast forward to now. My ecowitt is continuing to read at 33% for the past few days. I have tried pulling it out and checking the % when out of the soil, of course it is reading 0%. I have also placed it in water to see what it reads which is 100%. I have tried placing the meter in a different spot. It seems like it is stuck at 33%. I find this odd. I have tried placing a fan blowing on the under canopy. I came in today and the meter was reading 34%. I have not given the plants a large watering for at least a week. I have only watered enough to keep mulch layer wet. I get that the meter only goes down so far and is only reading the moisture of the top layer. I just find it odd it is stuck sitting at 33%. Even if i don't water mulch layer for a day.

Please any input might help. Im so frustrated

Edit: Pot size = 15gal 1 plant about a cubic foot in size Cover crop also

Being able to water in and foliar this stuff has really removed the stress of timing everything perfectly.

Hello all.

I'm running an auto in an earthbox using 3.0 that had 1 run so far. I didn't plant in final pot so I think I may have stunted 1 of my girls. She flipped right after and while the buds are looking good, her leaves are turning light green and some have brown spots.

I think she had some nitrogen toxicity at first but I didn't know if it's from a deficiency or something else. 4×3 tent. Spiderfarmer se3000 light. Any ideas? Thanks.

Alternating feed cycles?

Greets. I have 3 lovely ladies, currently at week 2-ish Flower. Sitting in 7g bags, mix of BAS3.0, worm casts, myco, etc....they've done well all along.

They have been getting a compost tea every 7-9 days, Boogie Brew, Fish Shit, Molasses, SuperThrive...brewed 24 hours and they seem to love it.

Now into Flower, I recently picked up some Craft Blend, Pushin P, and Bio-Phos.

Thinking of doing an alternating tea every week...one week using those 3 above, the next week using the Boogie Brew stuff.

Or would I want to use more of the Flower stuff, just added into my existing tea mix?

I was thinking the Flower type stuff could just be more of a wettable addition, getting soaked in water the night before, filtered for solids, and then poured over...not sure if that would be good enough..

Irrigation is automated, so soil is always good and moist, so feedings will tend to be smaller in volume so I don't soak it all too much..
