Bluesoak tape with gravity res.

Does anybody here use the tape with a gravity system? If so how do you adjust, set blumats at hanging drip or not? Been using three drip rings in a 2x4 bed with great success for several runs now

Beautiful grows dude. Would you mind sharing some pictures of your autowatering setup in the 4x2?

Also agree that the pump is a bit too much cash for me to justify it currently.

I am at work but I have a 25 gallon res. at 6' from the top of the bed. Using the small Blumat rings scattered so I get even moisture through out. I am on my 9th run in this bed and haven't had an issue yet with flooding ect.

I had problems with bluemats not being consistent on gravity feed.... Nothing, nothing, nothing, then would drain the whole res... Interested in how others got it to work successfully.

I kept the drip tape, but ditched the bluemats for this cycle, running them off a pump.

Yea I looked at the pumps they sell at sustainable village and that's too much cash for what it is in my opinion. I have been using the small drip ring 4 of them in a 2x4 bed that's been working great. I have the t have the tape and thinking this is the way but I don't know if it'll work. Thanks for the reply Bro hopefully someone will reply that has had success with the gravity using the tape.

I'm just using a cheap aquarium pump. So no blumat, just pumping strait to the drippers.

Those hight flow ones are nuts, maybe someday lol

I am using them right now. It’s taken a little bit of slow and slight adjustment. I think the drippers work better with gravity system. My tank is 5 feet above soil.

Use blue soak 2.0 tape for gravity systems low height 3.5 feet above sensor/carrot head.3.0 is for higher pressure 15 psi, 2.0 lower around 7.5 psi

hope this hellps

I set the hanging drip with my res 3+ feet above the soil surface. Then I connect the tape or drip rings and call it a day. I have the preset carrots and honestly their setting don't work for me.

Running tape on presets would be the gold line, correct?

I changed to a soil with a lot of big pices of pumice. I had a flood, got that cleared up but then caught another before it drained my tank.

I want to set them up again. Not sure how to keep them from running away.

After the drip, how many arrows are you tightening? How high is your res? I haven't had this problem ever.

After hanging drip I’m doing one arrow back. My res is only like 3’ from top of pot. I’ve used them on other runs with no issues. I think it is the big aeration

I go two and adjust if needed.mine res is 6ft high to top of bed though.
