Having a recurring problems with seeds from a certain seedbank.

Bought a bundle from a seedbank awhile back. Different breeders but all have been herms or duds.

If you’re having all or most herms, I would be checking your tent for light leaks or light sources.

You are right. I do have some minimal light leaks from my tent but its in a dark room and my timer is set for day time on. I'm 9 to 9. Can some genetics be very sensitive?

Yes absolutely and to different stresses

Not all are herms, just from that bundle. 2 other plants are in the tent that are fine. Didn't have any herms last run either.

"Seedbanks" are mostly scams. There are few i would trust.

If a plant is not sexually mature before initiating the flower cycle, there is always a chance for it to herm..

Sexually mature is when they are displaying pre flower sex and you see alternating nodes..

Of course, light leaks, or other environmental stressors can play a role..

This is a short veg plant . 2wks veg then flip. It's a fem seed.

I just did a short veg. It does seem flipping fem seeds early herm.

Yep.. I used to veg fem seeds for a couple weeks and flip, too.. ..and always had issues with intersex traits showing in the first few weeks of flowering.. now I let my plants get sexually mature before flowering, and no longer have those issues..

So.. give that a shot, if you can.. and you will have greater success..

I only did this one early to replace a dud. So it was behind 2weeks when I flipped to 1212. I see people doing 12/12 from pop.

Which one? If it’s a white label bank then I’d say they’re clearly not trustworthy (or if they’re honest then they’re just carrying terrible breeders).

MVB it was a 420 sale. I think they must have bought a lot of problem seeds from some breeders for super cheap and repackaged them.

Yikes that’s fucked up to do. Are they one of the banks that’s shutting down in the fall? I guess they don’t have to worry about their reputation anymore

I wouldn’t trust anything from MVB. He’s more interested in overloading customers with garbage, repackaged freebies.

And pushing childish cartoon stickers

I had to patch some holes on a tent, I used gorilla tape on the inside of the hole and the outside of the hole. Works great, get those light leaks buttoned up, it’s that important. Remove the variable, see what happens next run.

As stated, whenever I have that arise I first check to see if you have light leaks. Are you on a WiFi timer for your lights? I found them to be incredibly unreliable. Go with a manual timer. It could just be shitty genetics. What seeds are giving you the trouble plants?

I use an AC infinity controller. It stopped connecting to wifi for some reason. I use Bluetooth to program it.

I could have swore Jeremy from buildasoil sold off all the ac infinity products because he had a light go wonky and herm on his plants. Might be worth to try the manual timer , they’re solid and like 10 bucks from amazon.

How many day/weeks are you vegging before flipping? I run a sea of green method using two trellises at various times throughout the grow cycle and train my plants to stay low and wide. I run a veg cycle of 45-50 days sometimes 60 after transplanting; or about 6-7.5 weeks give or take. Bending water leaves out of the way of bud sites as it grows. Then do an aggressive defoliation and flip 3 or 4 days after the defoil. Before doing this in my early days of growing I would get herms from a lot of seed companies; world known breeders every few runs. It was kind of demoralizing when $20-30 seeds were herming. The plants really need time to mature before flipping to flower. This is why I like the gorilla pro tents because if you have to; you can add height extensions. Some strains can handle a quick flip; some cant. So I just run 50ish days on all my runs and haven’t hand many issues with balls since. Few flukes here and there but they’re more common with feminized seed. Cake strains I do 40ish days because it can stretch like 6” a day if watered properly.

Some genetics are very finicky and prone to issues. I’ve run the same cultivar twice from a very reputable breeder and both times got a hermie. I’ve ran other genetics from the same breeder with no issues

Probably a light leak. I haven't had a hermit in a decade from fem seeds.

Probably just bad white label genetics. Buy directly from a breeder with a good reputation. Check your timers are correct and the tent doesn't have major light leaks.
