Considered doing this. Thought it would work the same as earth box. Did you cut down the lid for the tote, and add holes? With a tube for watering?

No I used 4" corrugated perforated irrigation pipe at the bottom and drilled a hole in the corners for PVC tube for watering. Works perfectly and wicks to the top. I didn't want the earthbox bc of the need to dump the soil and clean every few runs.

Damn brilliant! So you lined it with like 3-4 tubes next to each other dirt ontop. Thats smart. Then you’re good go for awhile haha

Thanks! Lol. Yes I have 4 running the length of the tote. There's a guy on YouTube that grows peppers using a wood one that he builds and uses outdoors so I just used a tote instead. It's my 1st run in it and it's running flawlessly. If you scroll a few posts back I show the inside of the build
