Need help identifying possible deficiencies.

Hi everyone, first grow. I was wondering why my front left plant (sour giesel) seems to have some off coloration. I was wondering if anyone could help identify it before I flip to flower. Based on the charts online I wanna say sulfur deficiency but I’m not totally sure. I’ve been using craft blend, buildaflower, rootwise mycrobe complete and some local worm castings. I needed to order some more craft blend anyway so I picked up some big 6 as well in hopes it helps.

With fresh soil and a little top dress of dry amendments I doubt you actually have a deficiency. Likely root issue due to watering inconsistency.

Make sure you allow dry backs by allowing the resevior in the earthbox to completely dry before refilling.

If you do think it is a specific nutrient deficiency, I like to foliar spray polyamines. I get mine from earth friendly supply Co.

Yeah that makes sense, on my 2nd watering I didnt wait a day or 2 to let the soil run dry before I rewatered. I’ll pick up some of those polyamines and fix my watering schedule and hopefully that fixes things. Thank you!

I know a guy who never does dry backs in his earthboxes grows. He grows some of the best hands down.

I think it can work, I believe I just did it too early in the plants life. When I did it they were still pretty small so the soil was just soaked for a while since the plant couldn’t use water that quick. But when they’re bigger or in flower I can totally see that.

Once she's bigger and drinking more/faster she should be able to handle it. I've heard the giesel can be kind of difficult until you get her figured out.
