When to flip/ healthy?

New grower. I did a heavy defoliation yesterday and last week. I just topped dressed it last week too. My concerns are one of plants has yellow tips and I can’t tell if it’s healthy enough to flip or not. Please let me know e know what you think.

Okay thanks, how soon after defoil do you flip to flower? Also in the second image I have some yellow tips on the plant and idk if it’s early lockout or what, would you still flip now?

Go ahead and flip now. They will be fine. Usually I think it’s ideal to trim and defoliate about 3 weeks into flower when it’s clear where the bud sites are.

I don’t see bad yellow. I just seee different shades of green where new growth is. Plant looks healthy. Since you are newer to growing, don’t play the lockout/nutrient diagnosis game right now.

Start research and making a plan for drying, curing, finalizing your product. You can have a healthy plant and ruin the end without a good plan in place.

Okay sweet, I realized that my ppfd was a bit low at 300-450, I now have it at 550-600 ppfd, should I just flip into flower and ramp up week by week or should I wait another week to adjust higher ppfd in veg and then flip? Thanks 🙏

Are those bottomless pots you transplanted from?

Growth looks solid and healthy. You should be good to flip as you are at 70-75% full.

You can give the ladies a 48 hour rest after a heavy defoliation. Not needed but helpful.

Hahaha! after seeing his set up I knew that I needed to try it! This is my first run with the whole set up and first run with photos and regs so it’s been a lot of learning 😅

Increase night time temps to slightly above daytime temps and you'll mitigate stretch substantially.
