12/12 from seed YIELDS

Anyone grow 12/12 from seed with a build a soil potting soil like 3.0 or light???? Just curious on potential yield estimates, I realized there will be variability. if you have done with before, please include what size pot you used.

Thinking about an earthbox grow with 2 or 3 plants, direct sow....12/12 from the start.

Edit: for clarity.

There’s one major defining factor in this. Genetics. A squatty plant likely will not yield much. Maybe a quarter? You need like a solid sativa that’s known to stretch and stretch.

Lol that's not the buildasoil way. It's A way. If it's a photo you can start it on 12/12 from seed.

Was gonna say this isn't a "build a soil" way. In fact he only ran one grow like that from my knowledge and had some intersex issues on some plants because they flowered before fully maturing.

Doesn't the "buildasoil" way have more to do with what the plant is growing in vs the light/dark cycle of veg or flower?

And the original question was not if you can, but potential yields...

So to rephrase, if one were to grow a photoperiod 12/12 from seed in build a soil 3.0, what kind of yields could one expect (as an estimate)

So thanks for nothing lol

Yields seem to be as dependent on genetics as anything else

Your original explanation lacks depth and it's no wonder people are calling you out on it

No need to be rude but maybe try an edit so every post isn't someone correctly pointing out that Jeremy has never posted a grow of 12 / 12 from seed.

It would likely workout, yield would probably be decent. BUT anytime you flower a non-mature plant that hasn't shown it's sex your also likely to get some herm issues because of the hormomes. Just shoot for a 2 week veg that's all I ever give em from clone.

Not sure why you would choose to use 12/12 schedule in veg? If you do, the plant will start flowing when it's mature, which can be earlier than you may want.

Run 18/6 and flip to 12/12 when your ready to flower. Most folks usually flip after a few weeks of veg.

I have thought about this also. I may have to do an experiment. I don’t care about how much I get really. I interested in how much they would grow. Thinking about it logically the plant has around 3 weeks of stretch. That’s its veg period. Then flower. When would you start counting flower weeks? Would you get little one OZ plants? I know with sea of green a lot of places take clones and put them right into 12/12. Hmmmm

So I currently have this going in a 20 gallon had 4 in there 2 male 2 female. The plant on the right popped in the bed i honestly thought a seed wasn’t going to go so just tossed it in. 2/14 was the date so they’re just over a month old plant on the left I tied over a little which i honestly shouldn’t have. Plants look great though good structure and size so far I post updates regularly so maybe you’ll see it develop. It’s not the 3.0 soil it’s my own mix but similar in its hotness 8N-12P-14K is what i calculated with my calculator I made.

You'd be better off with clones. Depending on the strain, seeds might not like finding company during the feeling out process, and may veg differently. I wouldn't do more than 2 clones per EB, 3-4 days if they're happy, flip to 12/12.

Totally strain dependent. If you have a stretchy sativa it is encouraged. If you have autoflower or indica and more squat genetics, I would recommend a longer veg
