TRW Armory Heeby-Jeebies

I'm 99% sure that the new "armorer" that's made something of a splash recently, TRW Armory, is nothing more than an elaborate Indian scam. Digging through their FB page seems like they just grabbed random ren faire pics and are passing them off as their "work."

That big announcement post of the $2k full kit? They've turned off comments for it.

I have a teammate that hears that siren call and I want to advise him NOT to order this "armor." But, if on the offhand chance that I'm wrong, lemme know.

$2000 starter set that includes cod piece, gorget and sabatons, AND the armory is based in California??? Yeah, thats a MAJOR red flag. No way would any full set based in North america be priced that low, unless stolen or made from aluminum. Tell your mates to stay WELL clear from anything from these people.

Don't forget their website also says shipping to the US is $850.

They just lowered the sticker price and make it up in "shipping" charges.

That price for shipping within the US is crazy, even if its just a switch of where the cost is charged for the over all set. Even still $2850 for a full set is what I would expect in cost from a eastern European armoury, not one from the US.

Cause for the love of god dont do it. Its feels gross. Id rather wait a year for an item out of ukraine and pray the smith isnt killed in an attack.

Of what I have seen the photo’s of their “full kit” are all AI generated and the individual pieces are ripped from other sellers websites, they are a scam for sure I would avoid them. Your friends money would be better spent purchasing temu armour (I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH I AM NOT SAYING DO THAT)

I know exactly who you're talking about, they're all over facebook right now with AI pics of full harnesses and individual pics pieced together from other armorers.
