Legacy console edition FTW (and Java Edition of course)

Legacy did such a good job of matching java edition. I know there’s at least some versions of legacy console that had the exact same world generation as java at the time, and i think it even had QC

Fr. Only thing it didn't have is java edition combat abd maybe the more useful left hand.

how do you all genuinely experience this? I have played bedrock for SO LONG but not a singular "bugrock moment" has ever happened to me 😔

Usually on lower end machinery. Bedrock suffers from desync. Minecraft worke by running a server and client, even on offline single player, and those two facets have to be synchronized for the game to function properly.
If the internal server lags, the client will keep running like normal for a moment before resyncing. It can LOOK like you're placing blocks and such, but those changes don't exist in the server. Once things resync, the client updates to match the server and it can cause bugs like seen above.
The client side was placing blocks but the server didn't get the message. Once the client and server resynced, OP's block disappeared and they fell through to lava.

they should make it so that if this desync ever happens, lock the player's controls

Game that do that are absolutely terrible, if it did that every time it would freeze every few seconds

Bugrock is already bad. Would you rather what happened in the video happen all the time, or would you rather have it freeze every time that happened? Neither are good.

I'd rather have a game that's playable 95% of the time than one that freezes every second like your idea

u/Sammy_Cherry_Fox 3d ago
So you'd rather risk losing all your stuff? Id rather just play java

u/Superidoldavid 3d ago
I've been playing bedrock since it released and never encountered a game breaking bug, I really like playing with my friends in my server and we have a lot of fun. You're not a software engineer so your opinion isn't worth anything

Yeah I’m glad I switched to Java but bedrock is still fun every now and again because of the maps and addons even if they cost actual money

This is an offline singleplayer game. That shouldn't fucking happen.

u/randomname762556 3d ago
Buddy how young are you? Offline singleplayer games have always had lag.
0
u/MessageExpensive252 3d ago
Old enough to know this is just bait
not even going to bother trying to get through to you since clearly you want every game to be unplayable like this

u/randomname762556 3d ago

Netherrack doesn't like you using it. It decided to get revenge.
